In August they added four more to this list. At present, we know of thousands of exoplanets outside of our solar system, and a startling number of these seem to be extremely similar in composition to our own planet Earth. When the discovery of Kepler 452-b was announced in July 2015 its incredible similarity to our planet led to it being dubbed "Earth's cousin". Kepler 438-b lies 470 light years away in the constellation Lyra, and in a total diss to our own solar system it has been described as a cooler version of Venus. Our previous entry, Kepler 438-b, had a score of 0.88 on the Earth Similarity Index. Gliese 581g has a score of 0.89, making it more Earth-like than any other planet we've ever found. Proxima Centauri b is the closest earth-like exoplanet known to mankind, as it orbits within the habitable zone of the red dwarf Proxima Centauri in a triple star system just 4.2 light years away. When Kepler 62-f was discovered in 2013 it was considered of such importance that the US House of Representatives convened to formally discuss further exploration of exoplanets.

Scientists say a world that's 490 light-years away qualifies as the first confirmed Earth-sized exoplanet that could sustain life as we know it — but in an environment like nothing we've ever seen. The planet, known as Kepler-186f, is "more of an Earth cousin than an Earth twin," Elisa Quintana, an astronomer at the SETI Institute at NASA Ames Research Center, told the journal Science. Quintana is the lead author of a report on the planet published by Science this week. "This discovery does confirm that Earth-sized planets do exist in the habitable zones of other stars," Quintana said during a Thursday news briefing at NASA Headquarters. Kepler-186f goes around an M-type dwarf star that's smaller and cooler than our sun. But it orbits much closer to its parent star than Earth does, within what would be Mercury's orbit in our own solar system. Those two factors combine to produce an environment that could allow for liquid water on the surface, assuming that the planet had a heat-trapping atmosphere. "The star, to our eyes, would look slightly orange-y," about a third again as big as our sun but only a third as bright, said co-author Thomas Barclay, a staff scientist for NASA's Kepler mission who is also affiliated with NASA and the Bay Area Environmental Research Institute. At midday, Kepler-186f's landscape might look similar to what we see on Earth an hour before sunset, he told NBC News. Or it might not: If the planet lacked an atmosphere to retain and redistribute its sun's warmth, it would be a cold, dry, lifeless world. Kepler-186f probably rates as the most potentially Earthlike planet discovered so far, said Jim Kasting, a geoscientist at Penn State University who did not play a role in the Science study. But he told NBC News that it's still "less likely to be habitable than planets around more sunlike stars." Even better prospects for alien habitability might well be identified in the months and years to come. How the world was found Kepler-186f is just the latest discovery to be pulled out of terabytes' worth of data collected by the Kepler mission. Before it went on the fritz last year, the Kepler space telescope stared at more than 150,000 stars in a patch of sky, looking for the telltale dimming of starlight as planets passed over the stars' disks. Nearly 1,000 exoplanets have been confirmed using Kepler data, and almost 3,000 more candidates are still awaiting confirmation. It takes years of observation to confirm the pattern of dimming and brightening that's associated with alien planets, particularly if the planets are small and far from their parent stars. In February, astronomers reported that at least four worlds circled the dwarf star known as Kepler-186 or KOI-571. In this week's Science paper, Quintana and her colleagues confirm the existence of Kepler-186f as the fifth and outermost world. They report that Kepler-186f is about 10 percent wider than Earth, tracing a 130-day orbit around its sun at a mean distance of 0.35 astronomical units. (An astronomical unit is the distance between Earth and our sun, which is 93 million miles or 150 million kilometers.) That would put Kepler-186f on the cooler, outer side of the star's habitable zone — the range of orbital distances where liquid water could exist on a planet's surface. Astronomers have confirmed the existence of other planets in their stars' habitable zone, but those prospects are super-Earth-size. Smaller habitable-zone candidates also have been found, but they have yet to be confirmed as planets. Barclay said Kepler-186f was particularly promising because it's less than 1.5 times the size of Earth. Planets in that size range are more likely to be rocky with a thinner atmosphere, like Earth, Mars and Venus. But worlds exceeding that size stand a better chance of retaining a thick atmosphere of hydrogen and helium, like the giant planet Neptune. "While those planets also could be rocky, they don't remind us of home," Barclay said. Could we actually detect signs of life on Kepler-186f? That's a tough one. The astronomers behind the discovery acknowledge that the planet might be just too far away for follow-up studies. The SETI Institute has been searching for radio signals from the Kepler-186 system over a wide frequency range (1 to 10 GHz), but so far nothing has been detected. (Advexon)

NASA Finds Most Earth-Like Planet Yet
Researchers have discovered the most similar planet yet to Earth, 1,400 light-years away. Kepler-452b orbits its star in 385 days, just 20 days longer than our own year. Its star is just 4% larger, a billion and a half years older, and 20% brighter than the sun, meaning 452b is firmly in the “goldilocks” habitable zone that puts the odds of it being rocky, like Earth, between 50-62%. More Information: http://www.nasa.gov/press-release/nasa-kepler-mission-discovers-bigger-older-cousin-to-earth http://www.theguardian.com/science/2015/jul/23/nasa-closest-twin-to-earth-kepler-452b http://www.nytimes.com/2015/07/24/science/space/kepler-data-reveals-what-might-be-best-goldilocks-planet-yet.html?_r=0 Subscribe to TDC: https://www.youtube.com/TheDailyConversation/ Like our page on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/thedailyconversation Join us on Google+ https://plus.google.com/100134925804523235350/posts Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/thedailyconvo Researchers have discovered the most similar planet yet to Earth, 1,400 light-years away. Scientist Jeff Coughlin says “this is the first possibly rocky, habitable planet around a solar-type star.” All 11 previously discovered exoplanets of similar size and orbit circle smaller, cooler stars. The planet was found by the Kepler telescope, which searches for possible Earth-twins by observing periodic dips in the brightness of stars as planets pass before them, like the way our moon causes an eclipse here on Earth. The Kepler telescope stared at a single patch of the Milky Way for four years before its pointing system failed in 2013, but the mission still succeeded in cataloguing more than 4,600 exoplanet candidates. This means astronomers still have huge amounts of data to sort through and make new findings, like this discovery. With 452b, just over 1,000 of the exoplanet candidates have now been confirmed. 20 years ago this fall, the first exoplanet orbiting a distant star was discovered. And with the successor to Kepler launching in 2017, the pace of discovery is about to increase substantially. The Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (or TESS), will be able to cover hundreds of times as much sky as the Kepler mission, and will identify prime targets for further examination by the successor to Hubble, the James Webb Space Telescope, set for an October 2018 launch. Astronomers can now project with some degree of confidence that of the 600 stars within 30 light-years of Earth, there should be roughly 60 potential earth-twins. So, according to Dr. Didier Queloz, the man who co-discovered that first earth-like planet 20 years ago, “If we keep working so well and so enthusiastically, the issue of life on another planet will be solved.” Like and share this video to help others on our little rock become aware of this good news. NASA finds most Earth-like planet to date
NASA's Kepler Space Telescope has found an Earth-sized planet within the habitable zone of the star it orbits, the space agency announced Thursday. The planet, which NASA calls Kepler-186f, is located in the constellation Cygnus, about 500 light-years from Earth. Orbiting the star Kepler-186 once every 130 days, it receives one-third of the energy from that star than Earth does from the sun. Residing within its star's "habitable zone" is not a guarantee that life is possible, but makes for a better chance that it is. RT's Lindsay France has more on this interstellar discovery. 5 Strangest Planets In Space You Wont Believe Actually Exist!
5 Strangest Planets In Space You Wont Believe Exist! Description: If you're over 25, you may have wondered why the textbooks and encyclopedias of your youth did not have much to say about the planets around other stars. That's because telescopes were not yet powerful enough to detect exoplanets, or planets orbiting other stars in the galaxy. Exoplanets are brand new science, and their mystery is a wonder. Here's a look at 5 of the weirdest - and most fascinating - planets from far far away. Let's begin! #5 The Pink Planet No, it's not a Pink Panther cartoon set in outer space. But the exoplanet G-jay five zero four B, located about 57 light-years from earth, looks purple and pink as if richly colored by Crayola. NASA believes that the Pink Planet is still growing - alright, knock it off, wise guys - and glowing from the heat of its formation, thereby causing the odd color. The spheroid is also quite large, making scientists re-think how gas giants come into existence. #4 Methuselah The controversial science philosopher Terence McKenna once sarcastically described the Big Bang theory as "Give us one free miracle, and we'll explain the rest." The exoplanet Methuselah, named after an elderly character in the Bible, is over ten thousand light-years from Earth. But the planet is also too old, having formed less than a Billion years after the Universe is thought to have exploded into being. Astronomers were previously sure that no planets could have formed in galaxies that new. #3 - Tellus More, Junior A mere 20 light-years away in the Libra Constellation lies planet Gilese 581 D, also known to astronomers as Earth Junior. The planet's greenhouse effect is thought to have created a warm temperate zone capable of sustaining liquid water, and potentially life. Until now, most traditional scientists searching for life off the Earth have focused on Solar moons such as Europa, the satellite of Jupiter with sheets of ice over its tidally warmed interior. But exoplanets such as Earth Junior may have spawned entire worlds and communities in its terrestrial-like climate. #2 - Book the Luxury Suite, HAL In the book 2061: Odyssey Three, a sequel to his novelization of 2001: A Space Odyssey, Arthur Clarke writes of a God-like alien race arriving to transform the human race. Just as a series of self-replicating machines prepare to blow up Jupiter and turn it into a Sun, a disembodied human spirit discovers that the core of the gas giant is a diamond the size of the Earth. Cosmic-sized diamonds. Ha, ha. Nice one, Arthur! Oh wait...Scientists have recently discovered that the planet 55 Cancri E, located only 40 light-years from Earth, is made out of diamonds. Its super-hot temperature and excess of carbon cause the orb to constantly pressure-cook fantastic amounts of them. If a future astronaut could retrieve all of the pure white-hot diamonds on 55 Cancri E, she would be worth a cool 26.9 Nonillion. That's a million bucks, if you add about 20 decimal places. #1 - The Dark World The Dark World does not refer to some badly-made Star Wars rip-off from the 80s. Instead, it refers to the exoplanet Tee-R-S-Two-B, which eats light for breakfast. Despite being nothing close to a black hole in celestial terms, the Dark World absorbs light at such a fantastic rate that it appears to astronomers darker than a piece of coal. The near-invisible spheroid was discovered through the wobble, or gravitational pull on its star, plus the invisibility of matter behind it. There are only a few theories as to why Tee-R-S-Two-B won't reflect light. Some speculate that it could harbor a new kind of chemical unknown to humankind. Well, it beats the heck out of that God-spilled-black-paint-on-it theory. NASA getting closer to finding alien life
NASA believes we are closer than ever to finding life on other planets, but an extra push is needed to actually achieve this goal. Several experts, including a Nobel Laureate, gathered Monday in Washington to discuss the technology needed to find life outside of Earth and how much longer we may need to wait. Planet Just Like The Earth in Our Solar System - Full Documentary HD (Advexon) #Advexon
Planet Just Like The Earth in Our Solar System - Full Documentary HD Planet Hunter A team of researchers just used the European Southern Observatory’s (ESO’s) High Accuracy Radial velocity Planet Searcher (HARPS) to discover a low-mass alien planet — also known as an “exoplanet” — orbiting the red dwarf star Ross 128. Notably, this planet has a mass that is similar to Earth’s. In fact, it’s thought that the planet, formally known as Ross 128 b, could be similar to Earth in terms of both its size and surface temperature. And it is just 11 light-years from our solar system, making it the second-closest temperate planet to ever be detected. Ultimately, the little world comes in just after Proxima b. “This discovery is based on more than a decade of HARPS intensive monitoring together with state-of-the-art data reduction and analysis techniques,” said Nicola Astudillo-Defru of the University of Geneva, who co-authored the paper outlining the exoplanet’s discovery, in a press release. “Only HARPS has demonstrated such a precision, and it remains the best planet hunter of its kind, 15 years after it began operations.”

5 Terrifying Planets You Don’t Want To Visit!
5 Strangest Planets In Space You Won'tBelieve Exist! Description: The mystery behind all planets has always captivated many and the inevitable discoveries to come will keep adding to the many cosmological insights we already have listed in the books. Its really neat seeing some planets from a FAR away distance BUT there are some planets that you know.... We should never try and visit. I mean, if you want to die then sure, go ahead, but personally, I want to enjoy life a couple of more years you know? With this being said, prepare, because here are 5 Terrifying Planets You Don’t Want To Visit! Lets...begin! 1. Kepler 438b While this planet orbits a star that has formed a planetary nebula, it may be one of the most Earth-like planets ever found. Kepler 438b is only a little larger than Earth, likely has a rocky composition, and is in the "Goldilocks" zone where the temperature is warm enough to support liquid water on the surface. One problem: It is 470 light years away. So yeah, we will never be able to visit this one. Atleast...for now. 2. COROT exo 3b The most massive and densest exoplanet up to date is a world known as COROT-exo-3b. It is about the size of Jupiter and about 25 times that planet’s mass. This makes COROT-exo-3b about twice as dense as lead. The degree of pressure put upon a human walking the surface of such a planet would be unreal. With a mass 25 times that of Jupiter, a human would weigh almost 50 times what they weigh on our planet Earth. That amount of pressure would completely crush a human beings skeletal system in an instant. It would literally be the equivalent of an elephant sitting on your chest. Ughh...Damn... 3. TrES-2b The gas giant known as TrES-2b is the darkest planet ever found.TrES-2b orbits at a distance of only 3 million miles from its host star, yet its coal-black and doesn’t reflect any light. David Kipping of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics said: “Being less reflective than coal or even the blackest acrylic paint—this makes it by far the darkest planet ever discovered."If we could see it up close it would look like a near-black ball of gas, with a slight glowing red tinge to it.” Ummm yeah, I dont think going near this TrES-2b would be a brilliant idea... 4. HD 209458 b HD 209458 b, located 150 light years away from planet Earth, in the Pegasus constellation, is the first exoplanet to be discovered in transit of its orbiting star. It is 30% larger than Jupiter, while its orbit is 1/8th of Mercury distance from Sun. Naturally, its temperature is extremely high: about 1832°F. This gas planet, under the extreme heat, and immense pressure, has faced evaporation of different atmospheric gases that stream escape its gravitational field, including hydrogen, carbon and oxygen. So going into this exotic planet will instantly kill you. So for me... Its defenitely a No. 5. Gliese 581c Gliese 581c is theoretically the most likely to support colonization, except it is one hell of a planet. It is tidally looked to always face the Red Dwarf star which it revolves around on one side, and it is at such distance that standing on the star-side of the planet will completely melt you, while stepping on the dark-side will freeze you immediately making you look like Olaf from Frozen and I think nobody wants to ever look like him... Fine... ill stop.... NASA discovers seven Earth-like planets; The most 'habitable' planet besides Earth - Compilation
1. Feb 23, 2017 — Using NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope and earth-based telescopes, astronomers have found a star system with seven earth-like planets, all of which may contain water. 2. Jul 24, 2015 — Kepler-452b, a planet located 1,400 light-years away from Earth, was announced on Thursday as the most Earth-like planet ever found by NASA, which is naming it 'Earth 2.0'. 3. Mar 8, 2017 — Mars may not have been an arid wasteland after all, according to a new study suggesting the Red Planet may have been far more habitable than previously thought. 4. Jun 6, 2016 — SpaceX Chief Executive Elon Musk has announced that the company will send people to the red planet by 2024 and that he would reveal plans for colonization in September, the Los Angeles Times reported. 5. Nov 7, 2016 — The first Mars habitat designed for humans will be unveiled at an exhibition in the United Kingdom on November 10m to tie-in with a National Geographic program that imagines colonists from Earth living on the Red Planet. ------------------------------------------------------------- Go to https://www.patreon.com/tomonews and become a Patron now TomoNews is now on Patreon and we've got some cool perks for our hardcore fans. Is There Intelligent Life On Other Planets?
How are we looking and listening for intelligent life? Don’t miss our next video! SUBSCRIBE! ►► http://bit.ly/iotbs_sub ↓↓↓ More info and sources below ↓↓↓ Now that we know planets are common in our galaxy, how would we tell if one holds life? Sure, it will take incredibly powerful telescopes and ambitious new space missions, but what are we looking for? What are we listening for? How do we help other worlds know that we are here? Here's the thing: Life on Earth has an expiration date. No matter what humans do, our aging sun will eventually be so hot that we can't survive. If we want to live on, it will have to be beyond Earth. The only question is, will it be US who live on, or just our radio broadcasts and dead satellites? 5 "Impossible" Things That Can Happen On Other Planets
A lot of things happen on Earth, but there are still some things that just don't ever happen here. But, that doesn't mean that what's impossible here is impossible everywhere else in the universe. Whether it's clouds that rain rocks or glass, wind that's 29 times faster than sound, having 2 shadows or even being able to fly in some places, this is a collection of some of the most ridiculous places that we know of so far in our strange universe. This video was done in a collaboration with Second Thought, and you can check out his video here! If you're curious about flying on Titan and the research into that, I've attached a paper written by the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Leicester dated October 22nd 2013 which goes into a lot more detail than I could afford. KOI 7711.01 In total, there are 4,496 planets that the Kepler space telescope has predicted exist, with more than half being confirmed planets. Of those planets, 30 of them are sized similarly to the Earth and are in the habitable zone next to their star. That's great news for future travelers looking to flee Earth to somewhere new. One of these potential planets that could sustain human life is known as KOI 7711.01. Added to the confirmed planet list in 2017, this spectacular place might be the planet most like Earth ever found. It's 1,700 light-years away, and orbits a star a lot like our own sun. So what's so special about KOI 7711.01? Well, it's about 30 percent larger than the Earth, and it's in the habitable zone. This means that it gets the right amount of heat to warm the planet like Earth. Plus, the solar warmth on this planet could help produce liquid water on the planet's surface. Now, don't get your spaceship ready and plot course to KOI 7711.01 just yet. There's still a lot scientists don't know about this planet yet. Although we get a similar amount of heat on Earth as we would on KOI 7711.01, we don't know whether it's really Earth's twin. Before people will ever travel there, assuming that we ever become technologically advanced enough to do so, we need to learn about the planet's atmosphere and whether there's water on the planet. And those are two really large ifs when it comes to sustaining life on another planet. 7. Kepler-186f Another planet that humans could potentially life on is Kepler-186f. This planet is incredibly special to humans, as it is the first validated Earth-sized planet that orbits a star in the habitable zone. Therefore, this planet gets enough energy from the sun from its distance away from its star, plus, it's in just the right location to potentially have water on its surface. Kepler-186f is really cool because it started things off when it came to searching for Earth-like planets. It was human's first confirmation that other planets like the Earth might actually exist. These planets are also our best chance of species survival in the event of a world-wide catastrophy. Kepler-186f is very close in size to the Earth, with Kepler-186f being even less than 10% larger. The only problem is that scientists don't know what its mass, composition, or density are. But don't despair. Scientific research suggests that based on its orbital pattern and location, this planet is most likely rocky. And that’s good news for us, as we would hate to try and land on a gassy planet, only to find out it doesn’t support life. Now, from what we do know, Kepler-186f is very different from the Earth in a number of ways. First, it's year is only 130 days long. It's also at the outer edge of the habitable zone, so the sun from that planet is as dim as our sun an hour before sunset. That means Kepler-186f doesn't receive nearly as much energy from its sun as we do ours here on Earth. 6. Gliese 832c Back in 2014, a group of astronomers at the University of New South Wales predicted the existence of a planet they called a super-Earth. They were looking at some planetary bodies that were previously discovered near the habitable zone of Gliese 832, which was known to host an exoplanet similar to Jupiter, when they discovered Gliese 832c. Gliese 832 is a sun that's much closer than any other Earth-like planet we've discussed so far. It's only 16 light-years from Earth and it's half as heavy and large as our sun. The planetary system surrounding Gliese 832 is almost a miniature version of our planetary system. That's because it has a giant outer planet, and an interior potentially rocky planet. Just like with every other planet that has been discovered in a habitable zone, we're uncertain as to what the atmosphere is like on Gliese 832c. However, we do know a few interesting things that might change your thoughts on one day moving to this super Earth. First, a year passes incredibly quickly, in only 35.68 days. The mass is over 5 times larger than Earths. On the other hand, it gets about the same amount of energy from its sun as we do ours. Regardless, if there is a similar atmosphere on this planet, then it has Earth-like temperatures that shift suddenly during the seasons. This would make seasonal shifts incredibly extreme..

If the Moon were replaced with some of our planets
In order show: Mars Venus Neptune Uranus Jupiter Saturn Mercury is intentionally left off as it isn't Much bigger than our Moon (and hence is boring) Everything is correctly scaled. The Axial tilts are not particularly accurate. the moon that flies in front of Saturn is Tethys. It is Tiny. but *very* close Dione would be on a collision course, it's orbital distance from Saturn is Nearly identical to our Moon's orbit around Earth Titan, which is Larger than our Moon, is outside the orbit of Dione **************** on Jupiter, you might be able to make out the 4 big moons, They all have orbits larger than our moons orbit. but I stuck them on the far side of jupiter so that they could be seen so it looks as if they are closer (to Jupiter) than they really are. *************** Video creation method I created an Earth Moon system in 3dsmax, with accurate sizes and accurate orbital distances.. I than matched video of the real Moon with my video camera, against my model. I also researched the correct FOV of my video camera. I used both methods to verify my Virtual camera's FOV (around 47 degrees). I next modeled up the rest of the planets in proper scale (Real values) set at the distance of the moon (also real values), created the animation of them rotating around, and composited the whole bunch. *************** Faq: Scales used in Visualization: Celestial Body Radius (in km) Moon: 1738 Mars: 3397 Venus: 6052 Neptune: 25,269 (equatorial) 24,340 (polar) Uranus: 25,559 (equatorial) 24,973 (polar) Jupiter: 71,490 (equatorial) 66,854 (polar) Saturn: 60,268 (equatorial) 54,360 (polar) (not including rings) Distance to Moon 384,000km Faq: (will expand as needed) 1, We would not be engulfed by Jupiter or any other planet, Jupiter's radius is 71,490 km and the distance to the Moon is 384,000km 2, Saturn is not larger than Jupiter. Saturn + RINGS is larger than Jupiter 3, We would suffer from really really horrible tides, and Volcanoes And some pretty bad Radiation from Jupiter. It *could* strip away our atmosphere, but haven't done the math. Eventually our planet would become tidally locked (that is the same side of Earth would always face Jupiter. we would Still have some bad tides and volcanoes from being in a slightly ellipitical orbit, and from the other moons of Jupiter, and the Sun having tidal influence. I have not calculated how bad the Tides would be. A Simple guess would be at Least 300 times more exaggerated than they are now, This figure could be way off, it's simply an educated guess. 4, We would not be in the rings of Saturn. Or to rephrase that, we would not be in any of the Visable rings of Saturn, There are some very very faint rings that strech out far that we would be in, but i did not model them. 5, We would not be crushed by the Gravity of Jupiter, This is not how orbiting works!. However, at the Roche limit, we WOULD become a new ring system, The Roche limit is *about* 36,000km above the "surface" of Jupiter or 106,000km from the center of Jupiter. So, to reiterate if the center of Jupiter was 106,000km away from the center of the earth, Our planet would become a new Ring system of Jupiter. 6, I did not model the Ring of debris around Uranus (this faq will be deleted in a few days) 7, This is not an ad for any beer company, no one has endorsed me, or this animation, It's just the traffic that drove by. 8, There is Ring Shine on Saturn, but it is very faint, the Rings are reflecting light onto Saturn in the animation. The moon that flies by is Tethys 9, I love Pluto, and Mercury. They are left off because they are too small. Pluto is smaller than our Moon, and Mercury is not significantly larger than our Moon. 10, The "Sun" i used for lighting the planets is slightly off from reality, this was done so that they weren't totally dark and boring 11 FOV is about 47 degrees 12 Orbiting! Yes! we would be a moon of Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, and Neptune. They are much more massive than the Earth. Venus is about the same size of the Earth and we would orbit around a center point between us 13 Rotation rates and axial tilts are not accurate to anything 14 Radius of the Sun is 695,500 km, and hence if it were where our Moon is, we would be engulfed by it

COULD WE MAKE OUR HOME on the surface of other planets?
Subscribe! Because SMART IS THE NEW SEXY: https://goo.gl/JTfP6L What does the surface of other planets look like? Hello everyone! Welcome to our channel. In today’s video Smart is the New Sexy is going to tell you what the surfaces of other planets look like. It’s not soil or sand like we have it on Earth. There’s a special bonus at the end of the video, don’t forget to tell us in the comments what you think about it. For example, Venus 02:11. Venus’ atmosphere of thick, toxic clouds hides the planet’s surface from view. When astronomers were finally able to send probes to the planet, they discovered that Venus’ surface was actually more like a vision of a hellish desert with a burning landscape that is dotted with volcanoes. Clouds of sulfuric acid create a yellowish haze, and possibly rain, that would block out the sun and erode any structure or building on Venus's surface. From its hellish temperatures to crushing pressures and volcanoes, the planet Venus might be a hard place for an astronaut to set up camp. Or let's take a look at Uranus and Neptune 05:25. Uranus and Neptune are gas giants, but they belong to the subcategory of ice giants because of the “ices” in their atmospheres. Neptune’s atmosphere has the fastest winds of any planet in the Solar System at up to 2,100 kilometers per hour. The atmospheric methane would produce a beautiful aquamarine tint but the hurricane-strength winds would obliterate anyone or anything. What we see is actually the tops of some very deep gas clouds, which in turn give way to water and other melted ices. Well, after all we'd got to know about other planets of Solar System we really started to appreciate our Earth more...But watch the full video, create your own opinion and share it with us in the comments! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: http://facebook.com/enjoy.science/ The Bright Side of Youtube: https://goo.gl/rQTJZz 5-Minute Crafts Youtube: https://www.goo.gl/8JVmuC ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.brightside.me/
10 STRONGEST Signs of Aliens and Alien Life
Are we alone? It’s a question that many hope to have answered, and some believe they already have the answer to. Some scientists maintain that we will find alien life in the next thirty years, if not sooner. Subscribe for more! ► http://bit.ly/BeAmazedSubscribe ◄ Stay updated ► http://bit.ly/BeAmazedFacebook https://twitter.com/BeAmazedVideos ◄ Get in touch or join the team: http://goo.gl/forms/2lOZyOeL3N SPOILER ALERT!!! A condensed list is below: ➢ 10. Tiny Life on Meteorites Earth has been hit by a number of meteoritesover the past four billion years. Of the many tons of cosmic dust and meteorites that hit the Earth on a daily basis, three have been determined to have possibly come in contact with life. Credit: http://fur.ly/0/tinylifeonmeteorites ➢ 9. The Wow Signal In 1977 Ohio State University picked up a strange signal from their Big Ear Telescope an observatory that scanned the sky for alien radio signals. On August 15, , The telescope picked up a radio signal that measured as ‘6EQUJ5’ from an area of empty space and astronomer, Dr. Jerry R. Ehman wrote the simple phrase,‘Wow’. Credit: http://fur.ly/0/thewowsignal ➢ 8. The black knight The black knight is a mysterious, unidentified satellite that was detected way back in 1899 by the brilliant Serbian inventor, Nikola Tesla, who some think intercepted signals from the unknown satellite. The satellite is believed to be 13000 years old and numerous others have since claimed to have picked up similar signals relating to its existence. Credit: http://fur.ly/0/theblackknight ➢ 7. Nasa Cover-ups If anybody in the world currently knows whether alien life exists, it would most likely be US government agencies such as NASA. What's unnerving is that there ARE many strange signs to suggest that NASA has been concealing information from the public. Credit: http://fur.ly/0/nasacoverups https://www.flickr.com/photos/gsfc/6816499986 ➢ 6. Ancient evidence Peculiar ancient hieroglyphs may be proof that even generations before us knew that alien life exists. Some famous hieroglyphics bears symbols resembling modern day vehicles, suggesting alien life was known about during ancient times. Credit: http://fur.ly/0/ancientevidense ➢ 5. Strange radio bursts Since 2001 telescopes around the world have been picking up so-called fast radio bursts that lasts just a few milliseconds and erupt with about as much energy as the sun releases in a month. Ten have been detected so far and were determined to have originated 5.5 billion light years away. Credit: http://fur.ly/0/strangeradiobursts ➢ 4. Life on Mars For more than a century, people have speculated about whether there is life on the red planet that is Mars. Thanks to NASAs curiosity rover that landed on the planet in 2012, it's likely that soon we may know whether life was or is present on the planet. Credit: http://fur.ly/0/lifeonmars ➢ 3.Life Can Exist Anywhere, Even Deep-Space Extremophiles are creatures that exist in conditions that would kill most other kinds of life. Since the building blocks of life can form anywhere, life beyond our own rock is possible and likely. Credit: http://fur.ly/0/lifeexistsanywhere ➢ 2. There are Thousands of Exoplanets In 2009 NASA launched the Kepler satellite observatory to look out into the farthest reaches of space. As Kepler scans the void, it has discovered and is still discovering, a staggering amount of exoplanets that may be habitable. In other words, our galaxy alone is full of planets within the important habitable zone, where alien life is likely to thrive. Credit: http://fur.ly/0/thousandsofexoplanets ➢ 1. Life could be in Our Backyard For life, as we know it, to survive we requires liquid water and heat. The prospect for finding liquid water within our solar system outside of earth may not be as unlikely as we first thought. Apparently there are entire oceans of liquid water beneath the crust of ice on Jupiter’s moons Europa, Ganymede and Saturn’s moon, Enceladus. OMG!! Alien Planets Like Earth: This Will Blow Your Mind
OMG!! Alien Planets Like Earth: This Will Blow Your Mind "Alien Planet" Channel comes up with Latest UFO/Alien Sightings Videos.UFO sightings in outer space are sightings of unidentified flying objects reported by astronauts while in space that they could not explain at the time. These sightings were claimed as evidence for alien visits by ufologists, although prosaic explanations have since been found for almost all of them. Some of the alleged sightings never occurred: science fiction writer Otto Binder perpetuated a hoax claiming Apollo 11 @Alien09M# Commander Neil Armstrong had encountered UFOs during the mission. @alienplanet# Do aliens exist? Hundreds of pictures and videos of UFOs are taken every year and enthusiasts believe many of them could be proof or even a hidden conspiracy. While some have been debunked as fake, there are still dozens that have left even the experts scratching their heads and wondering if we really have been visited by creatures from another @Alien09M# planet. @alienplanet# UFO, the mysterious moving object that appears in the sky occasionally is claimed to have no orthodox scientific explanation regarding its existence. As per the prevailing belief they are flying saucer and the same can be a monster spaceships carrying real extraterrestrials through clouds. Nowadays, UFO sighting has been a matter of amusement rather than a concern, even though there are ample evidences about their scary appearance. However, in postmodern culture, where Alien Videos are common, the movement of UFO needs to be taken as a serious matter. The appearance of flying saucer and their real images caught on tape is a proof of Alien life and the same has ignited the curiosity of NASA. They are in a set @Alien09M# out to find out the hidden secrets of the extraterrestrials in the Universe.@alienplanet# Some of the main discussions happening related to this topic are alien, ufo, alien sightings, ufo sightings, ufo caught on camera, ufo objects, proof of aliens, Extra terrestrial Life, ufo caught on camera, ufo caught on tape and others are un explained, ufo mystery, nasa alien program, ufo 2017, alien 2017, shocking ufo video. In some instant, Unidentified Flying Objects are reported to have often observed by air force personnel in military during their preparation for encounters. They used to mistake these flying objects as the consequence of the conspiracy of their rival groups. Some of the latest UFO incidents @Alien09M# are caught on video camera and their video footage has generated a big question mark in front of science. @alienplanet# In our Alien Planet Youtube channel, we have done our best to present the UFO related footage in a splendid manner. In that, you can view @Alien09M# the real scary stories of UFO objects and enjoy yourself by leaving back a thought in your mind. @alienplanet# Subscribe US : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNuf7nY3r6LrLWYONRGv-Xg?sub_confirmation=1

TRAPPIST-1 Solar system | nasa found new planet like earth | nasa discovered new alien planet
This is SHYAM TOMAR and welcome to Tech & Myths #T&M33 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For all updates : LIKE My Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/techandmyths/ Follow Me on Twitter https://twitter.com/techandmyths My website http://www.techandmyths.com ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope has revealed the first known system of seven Earth-size planets around a single star. Three of these planets are firmly located in the habitable zone, the area around the parent star where a rocky planet is most likely to have liquid water. The discovery sets a new record for greatest number of habitable-zone planets found around a single star outside our solar system. All of these seven planets could have liquid water – key to life as we know it – under the right atmospheric conditions, but the chances are highest with the three in the habitable zone. “This discovery could be a significant piece in the puzzle of finding habitable environments, places that are conducive to life,” said Thomas Zurbuchen, associate administrator of the agency’s Science Mission Directorate in Washington. “Answering the question ‘are we alone’ is a top science priority and finding so many planets like these for the first time in the habitable zone is a remarkable step forward toward that goal.” In contrast to our sun, the TRAPPIST-1 star – classified as an ultra-cool dwarf – is so cool that liquid water could survive on planets orbiting very close to it, closer than is possible on planets in our solar system. All seven of the TRAPPIST-1 planetary orbits are closer to their host star than Mercury is to our sun. The planets also are very close to each other. If a person was standing on one of the planet’s surface, they could gaze up and potentially see geological features or clouds of neighboring worlds, which would sometimes appear larger than the moon in Earth's sky. The planets may also be tidally locked to their star, which means the same side of the planet is always facing the star, therefore each side is either perpetual day or night. This could mean they have weather patterns totally unlike those on Earth, such as strong winds blowing from the day side to the night side, and extreme temperature changes. Spitzer, an infrared telescope that trails Earth as it orbits the sun, was well-suited for studying TRAPPIST-1 because the star glows brightest in infrared light, whose wavelengths are longer than the eye can see. In the fall of 2016, Spitzer observed TRAPPIST-1 nearly continuously for 500 hours. Spitzer is uniquely positioned in its orbit to observe enough crossing – transits – of the planets in front of the host star to reveal the complex architecture of the system. Engineers optimized Spitzer’s ability to observe transiting planets during Spitzer’s “warm mission,” which began after the spacecraft’s coolant ran out as planned after the first five years of operations. "This is the most exciting result I have seen in the 14 years of Spitzer operations," said Sean Carey, manager of NASA's Spitzer Science Center at Caltech/IPAC in Pasadena, California. "Spitzer will follow up in the fall to further refine our understanding of these planets so that the James Webb Space Telescope can follow up. More observations of the system are sure to reveal more secrets.” Following up on the Spitzer discovery, NASA's Hubble Space Telescope has initiated the screening of four of the planets, including the three inside the habitable zone. These observations aim at assessing the presence of puffy, hydrogen-dominated atmospheres, typical for gaseous worlds like Neptune, around these planets.
