The Xbox One Digital TV Tuner provides Xbox One users with a better over-the-air digital terrestrial TV experience through the USB single tuner, an alternative to accessing TV content from a cable or satellite set-top box connected through the HDMI-In port.

+FraGNet0 it works from a regular Tv coaxial antenna from your roof, As long as you can get regular free view this will work, A signal booster may bee needed in poor reception areas, Its all free to air channels though, No subscription
This doesn't seems to *want* to work when I have Xbox 360 connected to the HDMI input...
I cannot find my zipcode in Denmark when I have the location set to UK.
I cannot set the location to Denmark, without also switching language to English.
I cannot find location Denmark under English language.
I cannot use voice commands if the language is set to Danish.
I don't even want Danish on my Xbox, so why am I forced to see Danish?
Just because you live in a specific country, doesn't mean you speak *their* language.
+puggster I gave up watching TV on it, because I don't want to set the interface to Danish language just to be able to watch TV in Denmark.
Now if only Xbox would allow English interface for ALL regions I would be happy.
+Daniel Bang Since the HDMI Input uses data transfer from compatible Tv boxes, Using the Xbox 360 on that Hdmi input may possibly be confusing the tuner, It may be switching off features or causing UI Bug's Go to XBOX Support to tell them of the situation, They are usually prompt in getting back to you I think it may be because the TV App uses the Hdmi and is setting the USB Dongle as the default TV PLayer card, I would resort to a HDMI Switch to set Xbox on to tv, Instead of through console input,, Leave the HDMI INput empty.. Hope that helps..
I so want this in the US! The HDMI pass through is nice for people with cable boxes but I hate running my PC's Media Center through my Xbox to watch TV. Would love to just plug in the tuner and get access to my hundreds of clear qam channels with nothing but the xbox running.
No it isn't obvious. So what if a few people don't want to use the feature? That doesn't mean that the rest of us can't enjoy it. I think they should've built it in along side of the paid TV slot.
They didn't anticipate freeview Ariel TV being such a requested feature, only paid TV. Also the US doesn't really have Freeview like the UK does so it was even less of a priority. These are only guesses tho
+xboxuk there is not enough usb port idiots, I've got connected headphones, external memory (thanks to only 500gb...) and 3rd port is for charging my controller. Microsoft why did you not get 5 usb ports? But still good you are doing something
+Davicii so you could plug the usb for the mix amp into anything as its power only, even a phone charger will do... get smart instead of moaning like a bitch... u decided to add stuff no one forced you.. it down to you to sort out the issue's you find on the way
+Davicii I'm not saying to power A40's. I'm saying to use OTHER headphones for equal sound quality.
And if you only need USB to power them then use the wall plug of any cellphone and ac power it or power the a40's through the TVs USB port.
You keep dodging every solution and saying more USB but guess what you already have more than enough. You can be a dick and complain all you want but that won't change shit.
+Daniel Königs The UK one works here in New Zealand too but only if we change the Xbox's region to UK. Unfortunately just no one guide yet. At least Aus has official support now, hopefully NZ get it one day
+Mikkula Doesn't work "all the way". Oneguide doesn't show EPG info (whats on, whats next, etc.) but you can view/snap tv, use voicecommands etc.
When setting up I used UK-region and set my postcode as "g11", then selected freeview. HTH
+RedTwist What people need to realise is you dont have to watch tv, use snap, kinect or any other mutimedia multitasking feature the xbox one has to offer aside from gaming, but its just nice to have all those features available and i for one love them! and use them regularly!! But of course if somebody bought an Xbox One just to play games on its not like your breaking any rules, ypur not gping to be banned from xbox live lol, you can do what you want as its down to the individual! I just think Xbox One provides a lot more choice of extra features and capabilities along side Gaming to make it a more richer and personal experience with your console 👍
