May was a great month for games! I bought 8 of these on PS4 and 3 of them on Switch (Fox, Bloodstained, Yoku). However, the games that are ranked #1,2,3,4,5 on your list are completely uninteresting, bland AAA'ers. Aren't those scores inflated somehow? Maybe by "Players" who just give every AAA game on their favorite system a 10? I've heard from trustworthy sources that Detroit is pretty boring (especially the writing) and who wants to go to Mordor or Far Cry 3 island again? Game #6 is the real game of the month, imo.
Don_ p75 No, as I am careful to say in my post, "I've heard from trustworthy sources that Detroit is pretty boring (especially the writing)". I was a huge fan of Quantic Dream years ago. I bought Omikron on PC the day it came out in 1999 and played it to death. That game was amazing. Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit was also great, and then Heavy Rain left me only partially satisfied. I loved the look of the game and even the controversial gameplay, but the story was like a "dark 'n' gritty" comic-book that's really proud of its own "dark 'n' gritty-ness". With Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit, I have heard nothing to make me interested enough to buy those games and sink the hours into them There are way too many good games to play.
Indeed, May was a great month for games! Most of the scores in this video are not yet "final". The scores will change as time goes by, as more people rate the games. Those with Provisional Playscores most likely will have a totally different Playscore.
Thanks for watching our video and for your insight! :)
They're both really great games. If we were to base on their current Playscores, God of War is 0.04 points higher than The Last of Us. I really think it depends on your preference. It would be hard to go wrong with either of these games. You know what, why not get both?
