Check out my review of Apple's 4th generation Series 3 Apple Watch vs the 1st generation Apple Watch A.K.A. Series 0?
I bought the Apple Watch Series 3 GPS version without LTE, because I didn't feel like paying $10 a month for something I'll never use. Fair enough right? Haha!

Hello there! Hopefully you can answer this question for me:
I have the 0 series, looking to buy a band for it online, but all of them are marketed as S1, S2, S3 compatible. None of them named the original. Are this bands “perfectly” interchangeable with my 0 series or not?
I have the Apple Watch 0 and it's slow, but does the job. I will probably wait for the 4th Gen to come out, I like the idea of LTE but don't want to pay extra for it. Maybe the 4th Gen will have it built into the watch and not be an extra feature?
I have the 0 and I have been contemplating mostly because of speed and the battery on my 0 dies so fast now its almost impossible to have it on all day now is the series 3 better not with the LTE because like you said I would like to save 10 bucks a month
If i were only using apple watch as a "watch", would the original version be enough to fulfill its purpose? I have an offer from two friends of mine, one selling a hermes double tour version (original) and the other selling a brand new apple watch sports series 3.
I have the series zero and have been considering the series 3 with LTE only because I tend to walk the dogs late at night and lately weird things have been happening around the neighborhood, so I’m thinking it could come in handy if my phone gets stolen or I need to quickly dial 911. Have been on the fence since I don’t like the red circle and don’t really want to pay $10 extra each month.
I got the Apple Watch ⌚️ Series 3 Sport Edition/Nike. The LTE function is very nice and quite convenient. I’m new to the Apple Watch and it took me awhile to make a decision to get it. I’m coming from a TomTom Spark Watch to the Apple Watch and I love it so far!
I have the OG Apple Watch and I was thinking about getting the 3 but all I do is track steps and time... so I’ll keep the OG and Ill get the battery swapped out at the apple store for 79 bucks if the battery goes to hell
I'm torn between the LTE and Sport simply because I want the sapphire screen like my S0 but don't want LTE or that red dot. I wonder if Apple will get rid of the dot, or choose a more neutral colour with the S4? I will hold off for now.
Utterly Useless review, you just covered pretty much everything anybody can find on a normal google search, for starters you didn’t even go through the heart rate monitor improvements, I got series 0 and heart rate monitor doesn’t check on resting heart rate, elevated heart rate alerts and many more changes like rowing or dancing or other ways to check daily workout routines. Even battery life improvements. I’m not a Apple fanboy. I went to the store one day just to see the watch and found out I got a heart condition called tachycardia. So I got it. Simple stuff like continues heart rate monitoring and alerts do come in handy you know.
Hi, I really loved your video! It’s very complete and you make reference to he most important differences
So, before to make an upgrade I just would like to know how the gps works.
Does it just register the current position? Or is it possible to search an address inside the app? Without using the phone? Thanks a lot
Great video. I’m one of those that keeps phones, pads and my OG watch till it breaks or is no longer supported to the point where I can’t install needed work apps. So I won’t be upgrading yet. I kept my 3GS for 7 years and should have my 256gb 7plus for quite some time as well.
I have the original but I want the cellular version
And the reason for that is not that it has LTE but because of the double storage size and the back being a ceramic one instead of composite
It also has a little bit bigger battery and you don’t have to enable LTE if you don’t want to
I am still on fence with Series 0 just waiting for two things before i pull the trigger, Apple needs to improve battery life when using Airpods with the watch, secondly waiting for at least our carriers to support eSIM.
I never leave the house without my iPhone, but I’m still getting the LTE Apple Watch, purely for the safety aspect. If I’m in danger and my phone is either dead or out of range, I can still contact anyone from my wrist. Including emergency services just by holding the side button. And also, if my phone gets lost or stolen I have a better chance of finding it via the Find My iPhone app on the watch. Awesome review! I’m jumping from the 0 to the 3.
Hi thank you for your video. I liked that you also had the original Apple Watch and the fact that you got the non-cellular one.
I was contemplating on a new one Bc my OG watch's (back) charging glass somehow broke on a plane ride?
Anyways the new watch is super nice. But the original is now a piece of treasure since it was the original.
P.S. it took me a while (watching the video) to realize which watch was the new one and which was the old one.....
Really under-rated channel. When I exited out from the video I was like "WTF he only has 15k?" Video is very professional. I also have an Apple Watch OG and currently I'm unsure if I would want to upgrade... I really like the LTE part due to the fact that if my phone dies ( which happens almost everyday after 4pm) I can still call or text someone. Because there were moments in my life when my phone would die and I didn't have a charger on me, so I wasn't able to use Apple Watch to make a quick call or text someone. Also, the OG Apple Watch is kinda slow now days. What do you think? Is it worth to upgrade right now or just wait for the next one? Thanks.
Boris Alexandrov Thanks! I don’t have the LTE version but I’ve heard that it really drains the watch’s battery when it’s being used. Also texting on the Apple Watch isn’t that user friendly. I think it’s worth it to upgrade to the GPS-Only version. I’d say wait a year for improvements with battery life when it comes to the LTE version.
The series 3 has the W2 chip, which is a more efficient signal processor enabling far greater battery life. Bluetooth is stronger and uses less power and same goes for WiFi (LTE is pretty intense with just 1 hour constant talk time). I also assume that there have been other upgrades which also improve battery life. My series 0 still lasts me 2 days. I'm picking up my series 3 on 11/11 and I expect it to be better, but I wouldn't be disappointed if it lasted just 2 days, as I leave it on charge as a bedside clock anyway.
I have a non-LTE series 3 and the battery is INSANELY good compared to the original. My series 0 needed a repair so Apple sent me a new one a few months ago, and even with a fresh battery the series 0 still won't last more than a day. The series 3 lasts 2+ days.
