I've done my best to add a few games that are different but keep the cores of the forest, as I didn't want a list filled with the same stuff all the other videos have.
Ever with the following being said I did add a few random survival games just to mix it up.
Anyway if you've got any games like the forest that aren't on this list then please leave them in the comments below and I'll add them to this description.
I hope you have an epic day and if you need help picking you next game go and check my blog: https://gamesalike.com/ out.

dream game for me is basically the Forest with added complexity and an expansive world. I'd love an exploration and colony building game with an economy and trading component. Think Mediterranean basin in the age of the Trojan War or 1492 and the Age of Exploration; finding islands, resources and peoples and building settlements based on geographic features and trade resources.
The Long Dark is so amazing not only do i love the survival mode, but the story mode just gets you hooked it is really worth the money, it’s a game thats been in development for forever and they still update it, they executed it so well. Also i have had State Of Decay since it first came out and i still love it, it’s completely different from most the games i’ve played, i’ve personally not come across any other games like it, (if anyone knows a similar game do let me know) i honestly can’t wait for the new one, then there’s dead by daylight, another great game it may not have anything to do with the others but i love it! Btw your channel is really good and you seem to know what you’re doing, it’s also very unique so you just earned a subscriber!
lmao servers have certain amount of entity’s that it can handle bases add a lot to how many there are so they wipe everything every weekish bc they have to clear the entity’s which in turn take away lag
I think Stranded Deep is a bit underrated but in my opinion it's a must have for your steam library. It's come a long way and very challenging. I also love the fact you can create your own Islands and incorporate them into the game.
You said to avoid Ark if you're alone because it's a time drain and tough - You can change the settings so that everything happens quicker and things are less dangerous, to balance things. It's a great game that I've played exclusively alone and I'd highly recommend it to anyone.
C9 Chrome u have to either have no friends or work from home to play on official. I think it takes 2-4 weeks for a 150 giga to go from hatched to 100% (Rideable). Like 30X taming speed is decent on ark :O
Unturned really is a great game, especially if you have a low quality computer. But it's physics are wonky which makes it fun.. let papa munchies tell you a story. My friend and I were in a 8 man convoy with 3 vehicles. My friend, TriggerHappy, turns around. He turned back and said "um.. munchies.. what's that behind us?" And there was a BASE on a MOBILE VEHICLE. We tried to bail and escape but half of the crew died. Good times.
nice vid, but as an Avid Ark Veteran, I can't agree that the forest is anything like Ark. I have The Forest in my games library on steam and was turned off by it due to the fact that you can only carry one log at a time. The building mechanic in The Forest needs a major overhaul. Keep in mind that I'm not bashing The Forest in any way, I've played quite a few hours with friends building, exploring, and fighting off the monstrosities while they record vids for youtube. But comparing the Forest to Ark is like comparing a Ford Pinto (The Forest) to a Bugatti (Ark) lol. & yes, I know that Wildcard does some shady shit with updates. (I've experienced all of it) but when the game & servers are running well like they should, Ark is one of the best building games imo.
TorinGaming ark is like the forest in the way The forest give the base to a lot fo survival game. Sure ark is better , but hey, they just take their inspiration on the forest, and have more found to develop their game and wasn't released at same time.
I really enjoyed ark, it was one of my fav game, but the taming and stupid pvp system was too weird than i stopped. It's only worht it if you've no real life or play on custom server with more balancing lel ..
The forest is a better survival and building game ARK is a better online game and a better competitive game there is a bare resemblance i agree but the forest basically made almost all survival games the way they are today
