I just like the subtetly of the Star wars game cinematic...the Black boy was trained in the ways of the empire, so therefore in the Dark Side, the Sith...while the White boy was trained in the ways of the republic, so hence Light Side, the Jedi!! The Black boy was able to understand his feelings and better control them due to the teachings of the Dark Side...while the White boy got carried away in his and killed his brother...soo basically the Jedi are the ones that are the most posible to fall to the Dark Side!!
This video is subjective as shit.
You only got the Witcher and Dead Island right, only problem with it is that the Witcher isn't in 1st place.
MGSV:TPP's E3 2014 "Nuclear" trailer should be 2nd.
Dead Island's trailer should be 3rd.
TESV:Skyrim's trailer should be 4th
Death Stranding's second trailer should be 5th.
I'm not here to enlighten you about your 'shit' taste because quite frankly De gustibus non est disputandum. All I'm saying is as much as you think that your list is not subjective it really is. There are no laws of nature set in stone that state if a cinematic does that and that it's good. It can still be good if its sole purpose is to sell a game and it can be shit if it's purpose is to create art. We can go for hours why this one and that one is good but it's only a matter of taste. In my opinion the WotLK cinematic is the best cinematic in the history of games and it fits all of your criteria mentioned above but I don't see you mentioning it. I also think Skyrim's trailer shouldn't be anywhere near this list despite being a huge fan of the game. It's all subjective and you're entitled to your opinion and I can respect others opinions, but saying someone elses list is 'subjective as shit' while simultaneously praising your own subjective list really is nothing beyond stupid.
Of course, the list I have can be expanded and arguably have other trailers put in between my choices as better alternatives, especially as substitute for Skyrim, but I have yet to come across any other game trailer whose sole purpose is to market a video game that has turned into art, either purposedly or not.
Perhaps someone like you critizing my supposedly stupid statement can enlighten me and my shit taste?
Because unlike the three other trailers in this video, the ones included in my list could make movies of themselves.
It’s no longer subjective at that point when cinematography isn’t there to simply sell a game but to create art. Hideo Kojima especially, with his Metal Gear and Death Stranding is but a single one of these highly esteemed patricians.
The Witcher 3 trailer is cool especially the way they did it. That vampire or Bruxa (what they’re actually called in the game) Geralt fought is an important piece for a quest. In the Blood in Wine DLC you talk to that girl that was in the beginning of the trailer. And she helps you out in the game, But then a side quest appears where you go check her orphanage that she owns. Turns out she was drinking the children’s blood. And once you find out what she’s doing, she runs and you never see her again. That Witcher 3 trailer is actually the ending of the quest I just explained. Kinda neat how they did that
A UK casting agency posted a casting call for Ciri and they were looking in particular for a BAME, black, asian, or minor ethnicity. Apparently they excluded white girls/women with that.
Identity politics are so much fun aren't they
