Nintendo announces more info for their paid Nintendo Switch Online service launching in September, and of course, people are NOT happy about it. A man who correctly predicted the release of that information also has predictions on Nintendo's E3 showcase, and it sounds legit. Walmart leaked a whole slew of upcoming games, including a new Splinter Cell, RAGE 2 and Borderlands 3. Thanos is in Fortnite in case you didn't hear yet. Nintendo announces an adapter to charge your Switch in tabletop mode. ALL THIS AND MORE on THE ONLY Gaming, Entertainment & Nerd Culture Live Podcast with tongue.

Another frustration with the Switch cloud backup could be that it isn't coming UNTIL September, and the 1 year warranties are running out; I know some Switch owners that are waiting to send their Switch in for small repairs out of fear of losing all their gaming hours.
The price is totally reasonable but I wish it was sooner as I have the issue where the screen comes out. I'll probably just have to risk losing my save data and have them fix it.
Why the hell doesn't Nintendo just have their entire library of older games on a site where you can buy what you want and have them carry over to your consoles through an app on said console?
Set up a universal online shop just for their classic library?
Wont be satisfied until they let me put my saves onto a physical card. PERIOD. Theres no excuse for it.
Nintendo is essentially, slowly, making it so that when Switch is all done, offline & all that....the thing will be a useless brick. Like an Ouya. They'll announce the next system and slowly continue to implement practices that only benefit their company and not the consumers.
On a more positive note...IKARUGA IS COMING TO THE SWITCH!!!
"Who of you wouldn't do it?"
Well, I won't unless Pokemon turns out to be really good. I generally don't enjoy playing online so 20 quid would be just throwing money away.
I'd also rather pay more to get the VC games to own rather than access via online. Paying 20 quid a year for access to them is a great price.... until the online stops and you can't play those classic games on your Switch anymore.
They should just have both options. There is still a massive bonus having a netflix style classic game rental service for only 20 quid but then people can actually buy the key titles that they want to own forever.
Bob, what do you think about a switch active? Something like a 3DS/Switch pocketable combo where it has many features of a smartphone but can also run Nintendo ips? Another thought is a steam link esc streaming service where all of your previously bought 3DS and Switch games can be played on a phone, or on the other console.
The only thing that I find most up-setting voice chat needs the stupid smartphone app to exist, notice I said exist, because based on what I've seen and heard the stupid app really doesn't work with or without the smartphone.
People are mad cause of the disconnect between Nintendo and their customers. Sometimes, just sometimes Nintendo needs to communicate and *Listen* to their customers. Nintendo is the parent you ask for a Skateboard and they get you a bike instead... With a banana Seat.... And it gets you beat up the next day at school.
Pokemon doesn't need more Pokemon; it needs a proper reboot with today's tech. Get back to basics saan
Recast the Avengers just like Bond. That's my opinion!
I know you all commented that Metroid Prime 4 is coming out next year. I think it will be this year. Previous Metroid Primes were released in Oct/Nov. Therefore I expect a Nov release.
Also, look at the quick release of Metroid Samus Returns 3DS. Only about 3 months upon its notice and then release.
Comments, thoughts? I would love to hear your thoughts. Keep up the great job!!
To me, it seems like part of Nintendo's strategy is to not compete with themselves. Build their switch market while still supporting the 3DS/2DS markets. The DS line still is going to have free online play and obviously the virtual console games in the Nintendo store.
I'm going to be honest. As the years have gone by, I've lost interest in further development in Pokemon generations. I have bought Red/Blue three times as Game Boy games and twice on my 3DS and never not finished it. Although I would have loved a more revolutionary impact of change in the franchise, I would probably be happier with a reboot-like game that didn't fuck up their first chance at getting something in the bigger Nintendo console.
Yeaaah... probably. But if it really is just a recreation of Red and Blue with the 150 original pokes I really won't. I really like Pokemon but I never felt like I had to play every version. I never had a 3DS so I totally skipped X/Y, Omega/Alpha and Sun/Moon.
My biggest question has been about the accounts using Switch online. My family bought a Switch months ago. My wife and I each setup our own user accounts on the Switch so that our game saves would be seperated. Surely if we get Switch online service, we don't have to pay individually for each account on this one device? It should be a service for anyone playing on the device. **Edit: Ok, so it seems like it's going to make me buy a family account just so different users on this one switch can use online play.
Ill catch ya stream one day! - I like the way they are going, also cheaper than the others. Interested to see what NES games and how online will be, also wtf no SNES? tbf up to gamecube would be amazing! I guess we will have to see how they deal with it in time. Keep up the great work boiz, peace.
Steve Lovelace agreed, I understand it needs to be special for subscribers but I do think it needs a change. Listening to this chat in bed with headphones dozing off when all of a sudden that sound woke me up multiple times.
