I've started with Blade and Soul and BDO MMO which, imo, has the best damn Combat system and graphics.. Hence my standards are high af and can hardly find most of these MMOs a bit interesting. Especially those with shitty graphics lmao
What other MMOs with combat system like BDO or Blade and Soul? i can tolerate the graphics if the combat is good.
You guys should try Adventure Quest Worlds (AQW) It's an MMORPG, free to play that has
releases and adventures every Friday. It all kinds of classes. You can farm with people,
grind gold, get new items. Some items go rare! There's also PvP, seperated between OP
(overpowered) and Non-OP(non-overpowered) Give it a shot, it's been released since 2008
and the game has so much potential. We just need more players.. use to have 20K. Now
daily 2k and 3-4k on friday-sunday release weekend. If you want to watch PvP videos, check
my channel. We have a lobby for all of this, discord, and non-op community. Try it out!
Mmorpgs are actually one of my favorite genres of games. Neverwinter, Tera, warframe is an RPG not sure if it qualifies as a mmo though, still looking for more which is why I'm here. Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to be sure the games will be available on ps4-5. I don't have the money to afford a gaming PC right now, will have to be later on if I go that rout.
If you like trade then BDO is not the game you want, there is no trading in the game, just and auction house with preset pricing. So no real economy at all. Also being able to trade with other players is in the top 10 list of what makes an MMO and MMO, so the game only qualifies as a single player game with people around.
World of Warcraft from my own opinion has the most vibrant and eye pleasing color palette that just makes every thing look alive and grand. The map is hands down one of the best parts of the game. Combat feels good for a point and attack game after MOP expansion . To some its outdated but to some they love it. I think its alright. WoW is WoW, it would not have made it this far if it was not great. I would have loved more sandbox elements but thats not the game. The role play in game is still alive and thriving on specific servers.
Black Desert looks stellar graphically. Really boring story but is really beautiful. PVP though! 1v1s and the mass fights can be pretty fun. Fighting ai in game can be boring at times because it is alot of dodging and not so much strategy involved. the ai fight like brain dead zombies. More zombie mobs, graphics, adding to the pay shop, and adding new characters seems to be Black Deserts favorite solutions. Its a very casual game.
Ashes of Creation, Chronicles of Elyria and Crowfall in that order sound like the most fun if you like make your own fun sandbox games and Guess what...i do like sandbox games! Massive role play and sandbox potential in all three of these games. The combat in crowfall looks great. i havent seen the combat in the other two games.
I have tried Final Fantasy 14 and i just cannot get into it. i have friends that play it but i have never been into Final Fantasy's overall lore and culture. Not saying others wont like it. The game is theme park oriented. Which means alot of story and little make your own fun but i do know alot of people that really like the game. The community in game is the best i have ever seen in a game and the role play is top class. There are alot of different mobs in game but the game feels very lifeless but i did play on the balmung server. which is the legacy server with minimum new comers.
My thoughts on Guild Wars 2 is it has the most fun combat vs ai and other players. constant real time movement and every hit feels powerful in game. The voice acting is so corny its cringe lol. There is alot of story in game followed by more intense combat and it only gets better as you play the expansions. This cities in game do feel pretty dead. It would be nice if the cities felt thriving. PVP also has alot of private servers.
My opinion on ESO is that it felt the most generic. Like if the game was not in Elder Scrolls lore then it would not be as known. The role play in this game is amazing though. The voice acting is really nice for an mmo. the combat is limiting though and it feels really glidy, as if their is minimum weight to your character and their fighting moves.
Guyz please ! Advise a good mmorpg ! I am totlly disapointed from WOW ! They literaly ruined the game ! blizzard are a bunch of greedy gobins , who ruined the game for more money !
I just uninstalled that crap, and I am searching for a good fair game, hopefully better than WOW. Can you please advise ?
ascent infinite realm caught my eye till i saw kao kao games logo . you forgot to tell people about the cash shop prices in black desert. and for that reason alone i pass. kao kao is a cash grabbing company .
Im here to write about a game which i think has a very good potential to itself and although at first it might seem daunting and has its flaws and those are the reason for the drop of player base but which game doesnt have flaws? If you overlook that and just go with the flow and play with friends i believe this game has a lot of potential.
And the game is Vindictus.
Combat is great and fluid, although not open world it still has variety of stages.
Can be repetitive sure but every game are and with its latest updates and all, i believe its gon wayy better than how it use to be.
Veteran players know it was quite p2w yes but it also has elements of not having to pay and buy whatever you want. Paying services are mostly cosmetics aswell so i dont see much hassle there tbh. Back then when Season 2 started the game dropped heavily due to its new system and people didnt like it and i was one of them but im back now, and im ignoring those facts and going straight for the late game as the game has made the early stages very easy to clear by yourself or with others, it still is fun.
But late game is really where the fun is and it doesnt take much to get there. If playing casually i’d say about a month or so and youre in late.
I seriously hope you guys give it a try again. I really think the mmos thats coming out now are nowhere to the level of some of the old ones. And Vindictus is one of that game, which is great when there are people to
Play with and investing time in this game.
how much did blizzard blow you to add that shitty pile of garbage warcraft to the list? lolol... FFXIV is good for about a month untill you max every class and craft and its repetitive boring trash. SE should have kepy up on FFXI instead of ruining it, because XIV is a joke
Great video, amazing games on the list. I would like to point out something though and it's more of an friendly but negative feedback. You can hear me out and take action on it next time or disregard it. It's up to you really it's your videos and your channel, I just wanted to point it out in case you haven't noticed it:
Theres a stale narration pattern that makes it sound more like you're reading a book for your senior high school English teacher. I sure you must be using a script because naturally informational videos require a planned script. You start off with some enthusiasm in the beginning of each sentence but then at the end of it, you have a monotone-ish closing. This is in almost every sentence. I'm not really much of an observant person but listening to the narration for 20 minutes makes it hard to miss this flaw.
I mean no offense in this comment at all, like I said I just wanted to let you know that this is noticeable and makes it kinda hard to keep listening to the narration.
No one is perfect though :)
So... many... I need a time machine. A few quick feedback:
- Chronicles of Elyria : I am fascinated by their original and gritty mechanics (but I must choose 1 or 2 games max)
- Crowfall : it is pretty much my favorite genre (as a fan of Shadowbane and Darkfall)... Far from launched.
- GW2 : your assessment it spot on. It was not for me (hated the PvE, etc.).
- ESO : I love it. Love the style and it is user-friendly. Will return to it at some point (busy with other games)
i dont get why people like ff14, they created this massive nice looking world..but its empty..no players and no incentive to engange in it since
the game is 100% dungeon gameplay, wich gets extremely boring quickly
gear is trown at you and therfor has no value
compared to ff11 this game is piss easy and has no deph in combat or anything, there isnt really much to do either
since u can do everything solo with ez the social aspect isnt there, the biggest friendships startet when u helped each other in hard missions etc
ff14 doesnt have that, but its such importend thing for any MMO
normal leveling is dead, u get no exp for normal monsters later ..example im lv 63 and get like 1k exp for a kill of the same lvl, whilst u need over 6M to lvlup
..again no incentive to engage with the world itsself and no people to just meet and party
alot of things in this game feel anti-mmo, but hey atleast the graphics are nice and the dumbed down action gameplay is greatly enjoyed by the masses
that cant be botherd to think and learn, its the biggest customer base.. might asell pander to them and make more money
the buisness men calling the shots are like parasites, they leech of the succues of others whilst spitting in the face of the fans and devs
every big franchise falls victim to this garbage, unfortunatly
they didnt want to create another ff11 but use all of its charackter/enemy models LOL, ff11 was massive succues why not expand on it?
its not like we cant find a nice balance between dungeon/regular content.... they havent even tryd it
when its about money, big companys often forget who made them big..the fans
Guild Wars 2 for casual? He He He. Love how people say that without playing it for a while. If you are casual, just RIP on wvwvw, pvp, raids and fractals... Everybody will kill you, blame you for "casual" plays on fractals and raids. Mastering meta builds are harder then most mmo' s end game. Mid - higher ranks on pvp are not for casuals. You can play this as casual but only story mode / map exploring and dungeons...
As a longtime WOW whore, I came to love-HATE the game because, you have to be a in guild to complete ANYTHING. ESO is great except for the random freezing and so no where similar to Skyrim. Also the guild trading mandate is awful.
I.. played ff14 for around 4 years. I recently stopped because i got bored of it, they just rewash old content, and slap a slightly edited 'new' face on the mob. They have been doing well with new mobs recently, not too sure about the recent update because i stopped playing about a month and a half ago. But watching you play the cutscenes of it.. made my heart ache.. and made me miss it.. 4 years of my life, i loved, i lost, i games, now im a lost mmorpg lover trying to find a new home.
I've lost count of how many times I have heard "Dynamic Environment" "It changes based on player decisions". Just to hear later, "We had to remove this feature due to technical limitations". I'm going to call it now. It will have absolutely zero effect on the decisions you make. We all know game developers never lie right? You will be disappointed.
"black dessert online; end game pve is a grind" tbh, so is WoW, you gotta grind to get Ilevel up, you gotta grind dungeons etc to get better gear to raise your ilevel. and i've always found its full of elitists who insist on only running stuff like that with people who are elite :L forever being kicked from parties mid fights because and i quote "your dps is shit" uh-huh, my dps shit, thats why they're all on me, instead of focusung their attention on the tank? :L nah thanks. i like neverwinter, and trying out forsaken world again when its installed and patched. neverwinter is a bit of a grind but the real fun starts at l70, and you then just do dungeons/skirmishes to get gear and refine it, its a bit of a grind to raise ilevel, but tbh, its more fun than clicking on skills in a set order and worrying about your numbers and whether your dps is good or not. do people truly care? :L
The combat system in Elder Scrolls Online is CRAP. Feels like just hit keys, smash your head on the keyboard, don't mind mechanics they don't seem to matter, and the amount of abilities is super limited ... it quickly become a very boring combat system. It is however really beautiful, and have some good quests.
"Best MMORPGs 2018" , I'm so disapointed
Chronicles of Elyria - 2020
Pantheon: Rise Of The Fallen - Mid to Late 2019
Crowfall - End of 2018 to Mid 2019 at best
Ashes of Creation - 2019
Ascent: Infinite Realm - 2019
Visually, Bdo is stunning, problem is : that's all it has going for it, no PvE, PvP is 90% gear based, Progression locked behind endless layers of RNG, and don't even get me started on it monetization, and shady cash shop practices.
By recommending such title, you've ridiculed the entire video.
Here is a 3rd chance, What does Bdo has to offer over let's say Tera-Na ?
"Getting Good" Which games are "getting good"? To date there is absolutely NO MMORPG that can touch the EQ Franchise, What (esp Older WoW Expansions) have to offer or Eve Online. Over the last 6 yrs the typical FTP/PTW Asian business model has destroyed MMORPGs with flimsy, disposable crappola. These newer releases are pretty much the same with a few new twists. Most are RvR with almost 0 sustaining, progressive, dynamic PVE.
Remove Black Desert Online from that list, it's literally suckers in players with great combat and visuals in the beginning that players wont realize its the biggest mistake they ever played till they already spent thousands of RL hours and money on it.
Nice Video. This is the first time I have seen one of your productions.
As someone who fell in love with gaming especially MMORPGs and have played the EQ franchise and began WoW at launch and played fairly hard core (US ranked Raid guild) until MOP - like so many, it's been tough to see where the game industry has headed. Since WoW (and yes Even Raid content) has become a very casual walk in the park, my friends & I have played a lot of MMORPGs in hopes of finding the dynamic, immersive, challenging End Game raid content similar to WoW.
Sadly today few of the other titles (or 2018 titles) peak my interest. (I did play GW2 for a year). Once a player like myself hits her/his stride with team-mates and manages to efficiently and effectively develop true team cohesion; utterly relying on one another thus completing some of the most mind blowing encounters while having an absolute blast through every wipe - the new genre of RTS (build your own world-grow your own crops with friends/MMORPG/RVR games, which appear very similar in design seem "meh".
The Wheel works - Why reinvent it? Why not just create a compelling story and add some dynamic skills & classes? What MMORPG has even come close to the success of earlier WoW?
Sadly Raiding in WoW went slowly down hill in MOP and now is so easy, few players raid; there is simply no real challenge that justifies a significant reward. From the perspectives of most of my associates who played WoW on a harder end game level, it was the casual-iztion of not just over all game play & dynamics (removing thought provoking tool-kits/skills or the careful itemization of stats and gear, the releasing Heirloom gear w/o having to earn it etc - heck very little is earned anymore/insta dungeon ques, which aided in the destruction of community - blah blah blah.) but more importantly the dumbing down End Game raid content that sunk WoW's general population, almost killed the game and finally forced Blizz into the launching of Legacy. It would be nice to see Vanilla with timely expansions into WoLK. BC imho was superior to Vanilla in regards to over all raiding.
I am very curious about the MMORPG - Bless and did a beta run through on the Russian server. It reminds me thus far of a cross between WoW and AION.
I Loved AION the first few years - I still dabble. Not only is AION absolutely breathtaking, AION did for PVP and Open world combat (Siege battles etc) what WoW did for end game raiding. Ive read NC Soft has an AION 2 in development.
I would be thrilled if BDO, which I have not tired personally and opted out of because of lack of PVE progression - added some systematic rewarding dungeon or raid progression.
I Played both ESO and FFXIV right at launch from Beta and left ESO after a few months due to soooo many bugs and BOTS. Bugs the community can understand but bots; there is no excuse. My friends and I felt FFXIV was lacking in many areas. It was a challenge to play along side FF Fanboys who were accustomed to Turn Style combat (most of the population was) or players on consoles 3 to 5 seconds behind the rest of your dungeon team as well as the terrible server side lag. Still all these games (too many to list) were all a positive experience in one form or another.
Have you thought about trying Bless? It is Asian, however had a WoW feel to it when I dabbled in the Russian Beta. I don't Read/Write Russian so that was a fun journey!
BTW in Regards to "Click Bait" Gaming Vids - So few have a clue and I have not seen a single Vid production from a player who has even come close to true End Game, though Angry Joe does tend to stick with a particular game for a bit & he's fun to watch. Perhaps invest in a particular MMORPG once you find one to your liking and do *Instructional Vids* ; those always do well especially during the first 6 mos. or so of launch.
If you have a team, I'd be up for it. I have a degree in Multimedia though it needs refreshing and both Vent and Mumble VOIP.
Thanks! Glad you stopped by and took the time to comment :-) I've enjoyed reading your story!
I agree with much of what you said and have been on a similar journey with my friends over the years! That journey is pretty much what birthed this YouTube channel... I figured that if we're constantly on the hunt for the perfect MMO then others must be as well. It feels like trying to find a unicorn at times xD.
Maybe it's time for World of Warcraft 2...
chronicles of elyria sounds too good, the mechanics will either not live up, it'll get boring fast, or they wont release it with all the features and be like "yeah uh future updates" that will never happen.
great video ! thanks for uploading. i personally believe world of warcraft is a solid choice bcuz of blizzard's awesome community anticheat response and policies and great customer support. but all games looked and sounded amazing ! sorry for my poor english !
greetings from greece :)
i hate wow because i always clear mythic within a month or month and a half of release then its just farm and i log on twice a week to raid for a hour and a half and thats end game wow pretty boring hope BFA will be much better more like vanilla
well i will be playing the new expansion! i was number one pally in dps and item lvl for my battle group for half of legion before i quit lol i plan on coming back for BFA lol maybe we can play together some time! i hear they are gonna gear the game more towards parties or something
I began in Vanilla and predominantly was into PVP; it was not until BC that I began to raid. I like you was in a solid Raid Guild. WoW is a sad piece of work right now. What's even sadder still is there is not one MMORPG in existence that can even come close to the New Easier version of WoW - not to mention WoW in its Glory days. If an individual gamer desires to game, he/she is almost forced to play WoW.
I completely utter disagree with WoLK. Only one guild took down LK prior to the Buff(s) on Heroic mode; later they were disqualified. I was in a US ranked raid guild and it took us 9 weeks to complete just the LK encounter. We had issues with newer players joining us, pugging here and there( just for that particular encounter) as well as losing top player - Summer had just began, but still we were not amateurs and had great cohesion. I loved Ulduar (many vote this is their favorite over all raid) and ICC. They were a lot of fun.
anyways my point of my first comment was theres nothing to do for end game maybe i farm for my guild for couldrins and food but thats all the rest of the week offers we raid we log out, in vanilla i was always online there was always more improvement. hell you had to even level your weapon skills lol and everything took forever idk maybe i miss the grind and dont like how easy it is to optain top gear now idk
i started vanilla alittle late and was in the guild was top of the server(eu nihilum sub quild named Ez) we opened aq but i was in the second raid group and only got most of my t2 before BC. BC was a great expansion but thats where the problem wow faces now i think started bc was great till the end with pre wrath expansion and that island where the dungeon was droping like t5 equal items. i quit all of WOLK because it was tank and spank zerg fest, raiding was a joke and cc was non existant came back in cata been playing ever since on US servers
When did you begin playing. I was in a US ranked guild BC through WOLK and it took us 9 weeks to complete just LK alone on normal. Vanilla was great but very bad. BC was much better (in regards to raiding) WoLK rocked!
and eso its just trash why the hell would you level trough the campaign all i did was leave the starting area found out about dungeon finder and got max level that way whooptiedoo the only game iam not negative about is final fantasy
ESO was more fun to me than Skyrim was....honestly from playing Morrowind and Oblivion...Skyrim was a huge letdown.....it was like playing Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 then getting Diablo 3 like wtf how trash....but ESO also takes an EXTREMELY long time to level up like I have 60 hours and my highest level is like 17 I believe.....and other people are like level 300 or higher and will destroy you so the scale is really difficult to me.....but it is a fun game really but it would be time consuming, people say it doesn't depend on gear or level but it absolutely does they just don't want you to quit xD
Pantheon looks cool but I don't like the idea of taking like a whole minute to kill a trash mob with like 8 people helping LOL I like more realism but obviously not TOO realistic or else all bosses and large enemies would kill you instantly....but I would like for the damage to be realistic like hacking away at a giant's leg with slicing it or maybe a rogue can use a dagger and slice the back of the knee or hamstrings and then slit it's throat or the mages can set them on fire and have to actually aim where they want the spell to go and depending on their biology possibly immolating them or having no effect at all.....or even working together like versus flesh mobs a mage could freeze an enemy and someone with a hammer could smash them or a body part to pieces or an archer could have arrows with explosives on it and if a mage had immolated an enemy it could explode the powder when it catches fire.....just saying you know....I just like all the critical thinking stuff let me know!!! I have infinite ideas xD all very synergistic.
