...and MANY MORE!
The Switch is a "hybrid" console, allowing different modes of play. Its main unit is shaped like a tablet computer which can be used portably as-is, or connected to a television display through a detachable docking station. In addition it can also be used in a tapletop form with its kickstand. Despite these characteristics, Nintendo markets the Switch primarily as a home console rather than as a portable.
Its most distinguishable feature are the "Joy-Con" controllers. These are two detachable controllers that can be either attached to a "Grip" to provide a traditional home console gamepad form, attached on either side of the main unit for handheld play, or can be used individually in the hand like Nintendo's Wii Remote. The Joy-Cons are similarly motion-sensitive, and feature NFC for reading Amiibo data.
The Switch uses flash ROM cartridges for media, rather than optical discs.
I'll buy switch someday when its price become 199 dollars with games worth 39 dollars which are currently worth 59 dollars . I'll just wait for it to drop its price. Because more newer version of switch console will be released in the future and they'll be cheaper with less con than the first released version of Switch.
Wow the 3ds had a price cut bad example! From 250 to 170 and they gave people who bought it at 250 ambassador status which came with 20 free downloadable games! :) facts but all this didn’t matter I’m ordering the new Pokémon switch bundle for Christmas :)
Gamecube wasn't bad at all. The big issue at the time was it was Nintendo's first time releasing hardware that was a downgrade in hardware. The jump was too much for me and I never got it. The N64 was completely amazing when it came out. At this point, people were more interested in moving forward in graphics.
Really? Did you really have to do this? People assume things. And when they see a video that says to wait before buying something, they may think that it may not be as great as what people say it is.
Then we may get a situation like what happened with Destiny and Call of Duty, as well as especially Halo. People criticised the games, and then people jumped on the bandwagon, and then the games worked fine with less than half of the people who played the last game. Mostly because of the points of the criticisers, who hate only the developers and not the actual games themselves and they actually like the game but just hate to all hell on the developers, but they stupidly choose to make it their fucking goal in life to hate on the game as if it is the developers! And I hate that. People hated Destiny 2 Warmind dlc for not being good. Final battle is a BATTLE AGAINST A WORM GOD WHILE YOU FIGHT IT WITH AN EXTREMELY OVERCHARGED AND POWERED JAVELIN!!!!! How do shooters get any cooler than that!?!?!? Yet people said it sucked harder than the previous dlc, which still was great, and people said that dlc sucked more than the base game, which took an original idea and used it! And people hate on Forsaken for no reasons, yet the reasons are because it is in Destiny. No hates on Gambit, the Fading Shores, the Barons, the Scorn, Cayde-6's fate, the fact the players are going back to the Reef, bows being added, additional supers, new weapon customisation system. Nothing. Just hating it for the fact it is Destiny. Not fair.
Call of Duty gets hated, but it isn't even that bad a game. Sure, it ain't the absolute best, but how can a common everyday generic shooter that is trying to be the only generic shooter in gaming history since no other shooter ever thinks "Gee, maybe I should be generic and not fail at doing something completely original and utterly bullshit thing". Sometimes generic games are good. You could say that a Mario rpg is generic for being just a simple rpg with a story, just like every other rpg. Not its fault.
Halo? 343. Why? Because they failed to make a better game than Reach in a year when they had no resources or even a studio and had to make a game in a year? No. Because they are 343 Industries and aren't Bungie. Stupid idiots. And people say Halo 5 sucks. Now look at the new Warzone, the return of good DMRs, the return of the Plasma Rifle, the Grenade Launcher, Reach Armour, Infection (still prefer Flood to be honest. Nothing different about it over Infection, except it has the infected as Flood. How is that a downgrade? I actually hate the Halo 5 Infection, because it has a reskined Energy Sword. Why not use the Flood? Because people say Flood sucks cause Halo 4 sucks? Doesn't mean the best gamemode in the game sucks because the game sucks), the Gungoose, Good Banshees, Classic Anti Air Wraiths you can actually drive!, and Blue Team finally together, and a great campaign. Who didn't want to see Halsey, Master Chief, Locke and Arbiter together on Sanghelios in the same cutscene? I know I didn't, cause I never thought it would happen! And it did, so I love it! And Halo Wars 2? People pushed for a Halo Wars 2! And yet I see people hating on Atriox, even though he is the only Jiralhanae I actually like and respect, something that even took me by surprise, just by his character, and it got better with Awakening The Nightmare. You can never call a Spartan-II weak, but Atriox earned calling the Spartans "Little Demons". And he further earned my respect by knowing the threat the Flood posed and specifically ordered his brutes who in the end disobeyed his orders which he said to NOT enter High Charity. For once someone other than the Sangheli and Humanity recognise the threat of the Flood!
In Canada, the price is currently at 379.99$ + taxes for the console + Blue/Red Joy-Con. 419.96$ + taxes for the one that includes a game with it. (Making you save 20.03$ + taxes on the game.)
Xbox One S is 340.76$ with one game.
Xbox One X is 599.99$ with one game.
PS4 Slim is 350.76$ (500GB) to 399.96$ (1TB) with no game.
PS4 Pro is 500.76$ with no game.
Here, in my region in Canada, the Switch is rated as the most expensive portable console to date without inflation.
Gameboy (original gray) was 299.99$
Gameboy Advance was 119.99$
Nintendo DS was 199.99$
Nintendo DS XL was 289.99$
PSP was 299.99$
PSP Vita was 299.99$
All those prices are without taxes (here, there are 2 taxes of 5% and 9.975% which means 14.975% to add.)
Note : Those are the price in CAD on launch. Yeah, unlike the US price, the PSP in Canada costed as much as the PSP Vita on their mutual launch. That's because, by the time the PSP Vita was out, the PSP price already had dropped to about 199.99$ with 1 game or less.
With inflation, the original Gameboy gray is way at the top as, with inflation, it reaches 534.33$ in values (excluding taxes).
do yourself a favor and dont listen to this guy annoying voice. here is the answer. no the switch is not worth it. it is junk. dont need 16 minutes and 40 seconds to tell it. joycon is garbage. games are mostly bad. very dissapointing.
I'm unsure, but it'll be quite some time before I can freely purchase a new console anyway (as my court case is yet to be settled). I'd only upgrade for games like Pokémon or Dragon Quest anyway, so only time will tell if I'll purchase one. Even if I do buy one, it may not be for another year or more, TBH. I'm very patient when it comes to waiting for prices to drop & can hold off for more than a year before buying a much-wanted game/console (if I want it so badly & yet can't afford to get it). When you're as ill/disabled as me; you learn all about being patient, so it's no big issue for me. I'm happier with my iPad, Samsung Galaxy, laptop, Nintendo 3DS & my old PS2 for the time-being anyway. They have all the games I need ... for now, at least! LOL. 😊
Love the switch, but its now August 2018 and there's still no YouTube, Netflix or web browser available release. Not to mention I think its missing some titles that it should have like Madden NFL, and I hope titles like fallout 76, black ops 4 hit as well. Just my opinion.
