Of course I agree. The first time I played Celeste I just speedran it an ddidnt pay attention to story. The second time I played it I realized how deep the story actually was. When I reached the summit the second time I cried
I don't have all these games on Switch, but I do actually own all of these.
Night in the Woods & Stardew Vally on PC
Axiom Verge & Shovel Knight on Vita
Thumper on PS4
I have none of the Honorable Mentions though.
I would though cut Axiom Verge as that has a physical copy and move in Blossom Tales in at #2, move the rest down one
"Games that don't have physical releases..."
I own a physical copy of both Axiom Verge and Steamworld Dig 2.
And a physical copy of Sonic Mania was announced before this video was published -_-
Y'all need to do more research tbh.
Switch is an excellent unit with huge potential...problem is the quantity of games.
There are some quality games though, just not enough.
The biggest problem, i think, is the handheld and docked mode, and getting games port onto the dual system.
I'm trying so hard to like indie titles, I really do. It's just that except for a few exceptions like sonic mania or shovel knight because who can't love these? I just don't like those retro style games that are most of the time even uglier than most of the nes games released back in the days. I know the purpose of these is to use a retro art style, but these are just ugly most of the time with a brownish and grey color pallet or a very big lack of detail. Just look at shovel knight for making your games indie developpers, this game is using a retro art style and it still manage to be beautiful and rich in colors. On top of that, they used one of the greatest marketing campaing they could by using kratos and the battle toads as exclusive characters and it's because of kratos that I initially wanted to buy it in the first place because I'm a big fan of god of war. Indie developpers should take exemple of the ambition behind shovel knight despite the fact it is using a retro art style.
You guys really need to do research on your topics axiom verge has a physical copy. I'm actually surprised your guys channel is so popular give how little research or how little you know about any topics you cover... I'm actually really surprised I still watch it.
the problem with many of the games on the eshop is that they are mostly either platformers and/ or 8/16 bit games... i prefer nice graphics, and 3d movement, so games like Snake Pass would be closer to the number 1 slot for me
Axiom Verge had a full physical release. And Sonic will get one, as you already mentioned. So limited runs shouldn't be an issue, right? In this case where are Isaac and Gunvolt? I mean Thumper is on this list.
I don't get why people just overlook this. I have heard 5 million times that there are no games on switch. Like, why? These games are way cheaper, and in many cases, way more entertaining than their counter parts, but they just garner no respect.
