Comic Book Movie Cliches

Too many comic book movies suffer from the same cliches. Will lists some of his least favorite. Sandman was called Sandman once
Yeah, how about Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach? Yeah, I know he doesn't wear the costume in the prison but that actually happened in the comic. I actually think he wears more of the Rorschach trench coat/mask in the movie than in the original book, and holy crap can that guy act! The "Men get arrested. Dogs get put down." scene never shows his face once and it just hurts you to watch because you can just see how much emotional pain the poor guy's going through! (Well, you know, that whole scene in general's hard to watch since it's so freakin' horrifying, but you get my gist .) And he was wearing his ink blot mask the whole time! I totally agree with that being your number one pet peeve.

Ummm we did get a movie that bucked all those cliche trends it was called DREDD .....now ask yourself did you support that movie? If you did give yourself a pat on the back but if not well I hope you know why we get bamboozled by all these cliches.

Not so much to do with the actual movies, but something i don't get is why are all superhero movie trailers ALL EXACTLY THE SAME. Dramatic music, dark voice overs, scenes with the heroes as kids, and a small tease of the superhero at the end of the trailer. Some are really awesome and get me excited for the movies. In fact it works with most DC movies, but i was expecting like the Ant-man trailer to be abit light hearted. NO it was gritty and dark and annoying. And Fantastic Four, they don't even attempt to create an outfit for a tease. STOP MAKING THE TRAILERS ALL EXACTLY THE SAME. Rant over.
