I'm waaayyy late to the video since I'm relatively new to the series but I'm gonna have to say the most unbelievable thing in the series so far is......metal gear survive, just all of it. They somehow took one of the best stealth game series and turned it into a very generic survival zombie games.
Oh oh pick me !!!
that moment at the end of the phantom pain where you play through several of the same missions on “extreme” mode to then replay mission 1 again but to find out you were never playing as big boss you were the medic....
SAID NO ONE EVER!
Number ten, from the MGS game that came out in 2018 after Kojima retired from the project: Making you pay actual money to be able to save your game. That's more unbelievable than anything on this list, I'm typing this before watching the video and I already know.
Disclaimer: I have never played any MGS game, this comment is based on something I heard from a YouTuber who does play and love MGS.
How about raiden’s entire story arc in mgs4? He’s fine at the end of 2 but he becomes a Cyborg that’s riddled with depression, torn by war, can’t get over his past and jealous that his wife went and ‘married’ Roy.
I want to admit something. When I first fought the end I got so triggered i literally didn't play it for a week. It was also because I had school and call of duty. I also didn't have internet so don't say I knew I was little.
How about Snake looking up a girl's skirt in MGS4? He "drops" his cigarette and while picking it up looks up the woman's skirt. So that's why he's called "Snake". So many weird, brilliant, and messed up moments in the series. I do think that the insane exposition is way too much in most of these games.
Wait, they hired David to help them on their video? WOW!
Seriously I've noticed that lately more and more channels hire David to help them.
David is such a cool guy.
EDIT: It was just an impression, damn. Well, that was indeed a great impression.
I've never finished playing MGS3. It is quite boring, and the first person shooting is horrible. However I loved the boss called The End. He was quite different and defetainf him required time and patience. I love MGS2 the most for it's mindfuck ending.
As if climbing the tower for 15 minutes in MGS1 was not bad enough, then they go and tell you that the only way to deteat the Hind, is with a Stinger missile that you have to go back down the damn tower to get, only to have to climb up it again!
When Peace Walker sucked, despite having Kaz in it.
(I'm playing this game for story purposes, I chant to myself after dying the bajillionth time in Strangelove's torture sequence. I won't have a clue what's going on in phantom pain if I don't play this, I tell myself.)
CURSE MY INSATIABLE NEED TO PLAY THINGS IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER (despite playing rising first)
Why nobody talks about how Old Snake allegedly killed himself, only for the game to roll credits and see "big boss" written at the end of it, so the cutscene at the cemetery could continue like it never said anything about the end of the game? Or that one "mission failed" screen nearly at the end of second mgs? Cuz I was confused as heck back then.
Or, hear me out, you could hit the statues in the psycho mantis fight to destabilize him. There's a condition in which the colonel calls you if for some reason you can't use the second controller port. I just forgot how to trigger it (Call the colonel again?)
I thought the encounter with psycho mantis in 4 was brilliant where he talks about memory cards and then about ps3 discs lol, that whole scene would have to go if it gets ported to xbone and the replica ps3 and the dualshock 3 controller/ metal gear remote. for me the last true and best metal gear was 4. metal gear 4 was for the fans metal gear 5 was for the masses it was half the game 4 was and I loved 5 I have both ground zeroes ps3 and ps4 and the collectors edition phantom pain and the day one edition (I got the collectors sealed on eBay after)
