Thor Dark World can be skipped, its boring and only significance is the post-credit scene. I'd like to add Guardian of the Galaxy Vol.2, it introduce new member Mantis, flesh out the relationship between Gamora and Nebula, and baby Groot is just awesome.
dude seriously. you already made mcu worse by cutting those movies. and the you had to cut black panther huh? wakanda is a setting in infinity war. it plays a part. you cant cut shit like CUT!, CUT!' and you come and say that asgard is destroyed so ragnarok is imp. and you say wakanda isnt imp. despite the fact that asgard doesnt exist. and wakanda is in infinity war. wow.. just wow
Since Disney is stupid with letting people actually watch their movies, here's where I've found Marvel movies to legally stream for free, with a membership:
Amazon Prime - Iron Man
FX Now - The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor The Dark World (Thor 2]
Netflix - Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2, and Captain America Civil War.
Haven't found any others, I wish they were all on one service
I think you need to see black panther because
As we learn in the end of the movie, the wakandans agree to give their technology to the rest of the world and I think that will play a big part in the new movie. You also get introduced to Wakanda where will be the huge battle
None of them can be skipped. You need to watch all of them, including the TV series, including Inhumans.
In all seriousness, all of your omissions contain details that I think are necessary. Thunderbolt Ross in The Incredible Hulk, Rhodey taking up the War Machine mantle in Iron Man 2, Tony gaining a natural heart in Iron Man 3, the shock of Bucky being alive in The Winter Soldier, Ant-Man for his role in Civil War, Mantis and Nebula joining in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 as well as Groot rapidly aging, Spider-Man's new suit introduced in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and the entirety of Wakanda and the new kinetic Black Panther suit in Black Panther.
They stopped showing Tony's chest after Iron Man 3.. you don't see that the Arc reactor isn't there. They don't even talk about it at all till Infinity War, and at that point, you can just assume its an upgrade. Granted, it means a little more that he would make the decision to put something back in his chest after having nothing there a few years, but it doesn't change the scene that much. Pretty much, All of Iron Man 3 is disposable, like it never happened. They even retconed the major plot twist with a short film. I pretty much would agree that every other movie is important though.
I would still put in Black Panther because of how much Wauconda and the characters that take place in that film will be in Avengers Infinity War especially that whole battle scene and because of the ending of black panther post credit scene
You don't need to see the first captain America movie either imo.
Also pretty sure the sure the soulstone in in Wakanda, yes they don't straight up say it in Black Panther, but there are hints. So definitely do not skip black panther.
You actuallyshould watch Black Panther because is the theory that the Soul Stone is in wakanda and there's already two videos that say that killmonger and t'challa when they go to the soul World they expose the location of the soul sone
I'd just like to say that I do remember much of The Incredible Hulk, and not just because I've recently watched it. I really liked that movie.
I'm also making a point to watch ALL the MCU movies in order of release before Infinity War; the only exception to that order is Black Panther, because I had to watch that out of order in theater. Just finished Civil War, so I've only got Dr. Strange, Guardians 2, Spider-Man, and Ragnarock.
I’d argue black panther. Based on the trailers it looks like Wakanda will be featured heavily in Infinity War and it may be a bit jarring to understand why some of the Avengers choose to go there instead of anywhere else in the world to take on Thanos
yeah mahou shoujo site isn't madoka but it's defenitely not bad as king's game, I agree that the abusing brother thing is BS but the bullying at school? you see that a lot in anime: the nails in shoes, the writing on the desk and the phyisical abuse. if you think that's over the top you clearly haven't seen a lot of high school anime. and why DA FAQ 3D kanojo isn't on the list? also SAO gets a mention but not persona 5? WTF?
Now i have a friend, thet yes i love verk much, but is a total ass-hole in which he really openplay doesnt like any marvel (studios) movies, because he doesnt like marvel. This is his resoning: IF it’s marvel studios, the f*** up. (He’s not happy marvel baught x-men) the Only oens he likes is, almoust dr.strange. Ass-hole, love that guy.
And id om remember the incredible hulk!
You n your brother kick so much ass!!! This channel is heaven! Thank You So much for your content, creativity and hard work! It's so appreciated! Although with respect: Norton's Hulk IMO is one of the best Marvel Films even though you are correct in that it isn't a mandatory watch other than the start of the Avengers(Stark Cameo) and just being a really good film/Explain Ross's involvement a bit more. I am really happy MCU decided to keep it as cannon; it's too good of a film to just toss away. Shame Norton is a jerk, glad we have Ruffalo though.
It is funny how white people pretend black panther is good just because they are scared of what ppl will say about them if they don't. Btw we all know black panther was complete trash. I love many of the MCU movies, but I also know many of them were trash.
It’s okay to say that you don’t like the movie, but I actually thought it was a good movie😂 i don’t think it’s trash, but nobody said that u had to say that it’s good, so idk why u make it that big of a problem. Oh and btw: I’M NOT BLACK AND I LOVED THE MOVIE
Brian Preston I don't necessarily see it like that. Comics have survived for decades by having tons of different tones and varieties of stories, even if they all share the same universe. And of course all universes have their own rules, they must. A world without limitation is one that makes no sense. And unless you're going for Alice in Wonderland type surrealism it wouldn't really work.
Bryce Bitetti it's more the idea that they aren't capable of standing on their own, for the sake of.. not plot.. but sales through a feeling of obligation.
I also think it limits the creativity of each universe to now have to follow the same rules and laws.
I'm waiting for the Flash to blip into Deadpools dimension, and Deadpool explaining to Barry how the "shared universe" is ruining the creativity of the individual worlds.. Barry assuming it's a metaphor but understanding he needs to 'shatter' the link between the universes, and Deadpool looking at the camera and saying 'yeah.. metaphor..*wink*'
The Incredible Hulk, to this date, is the only MCU film I didn't bother to see. Once they recast Bruce Banner I figured it really wasn't necessary, and it wasn't. I assume you just get some context as to why Bruce was hiding in India at the start of Avengers? But I'm already familiar enough with the character to understand why he would leave the US.
It's really really good. Norton knocks it outta the park. It's end credit scene is very significant. Ross is excellent in it. And Liv Tyler as Betty Ross is awesome. Also has 2 of the most amazing Fights scenes in MCU(end scene and a Park scene). Seriously, it's amazing and very underrated. It's the best looking hulk too imo and you also have a Stan Lee Cameo and that alone is worth a watch. Norton is awesome in it and actually plays a great Banner! I love Ruffalo, but believe it or not, Norton was just as good, maybe better; Shame Norton is such a pain in the ass to work with :)
Seriously, give it a shot.
Genuinely very helpful, thank you! I have half of these on blu ray already, so am definitely going to have a marathon beforehand and stream the others :) I feel like I'm the only person who didn't like the Guardians movie, that one is going to be a slog, but it's for a good cause.
Too much slap stick humor for me :( I fell like they did a large shift with this Thor - from a rather epic story with few but well placed humor to a more humoristic approach with very few epic moments. And that does not suit me.
Wakanda's tech was revealed to the viewer in Civil War, and I'm mighty sure they will do a small recap of how the world is at the very start of IW so those who don't know that Wakanda is no longer a secret will do
Yeah, that makes sense. I don't remember Wakanda in CW and haven't seen Ultron, the Transformer looking villain really turned me off. I've missed a LOT of the movies but I think you REALLY only need •Avengers •Winter Soldier •Ultron (I know) •Civil War
I hear ya, but they explain and show Wakanda enough in Civil War and Age of Ultron. He's trying to prune the films down. If you try hard enough you can find a reason to say they are all a must watch for one reason or another. And Since Civil War also introduces Spiderman and explains Winter Soldier even more, I'd agree with him that Civil War is enough to Get people up to speed with out forcing everyone to feel like they need to watch all 18 movies....
Doesn't hit China until May 11, and I only have to catch Thor 2 .. I might have seen it, but if I did it was on a 12 hour flight and I totally forget what was in it. Luckily Thor 3 just came on the free movies on Beijing cable, so I caught it 2 days ago.
Harry Potter: It comes out May 11 in China, my hands over my ears I can't hear you.
But that is the most obvious way to convert a two part script into two standalone movies ... to make them not really 100% standalone.
I saw coverage that mentioned the switch where the directors said they wanted the movies to be two distinct stories, instead of a two parter. So it sounds like a creative decision to let the first one have a finale rather than be a total cliff hanger.
