It is the twelfth installment in the Kingdom Hearts series, a sequel to Kingdom Hearts II, and the final chapter in the Dark Seeker saga. Set after the events of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, returning protagonist Sora is joined by Donald Duck, Goofy, King Mickey and Riku in their search for the seven Guardians of Light and the "Key to Return Hearts" as they attempt to thwart Master Xehanort's plan to bring about a second Keyblade War. Their journey has them cross paths with characters and visit worlds based on different Disney, and Pixar properties, and Square Enix's Final Fantasy franchise.

+Hugh Jara no you are wrong. Loading screens still exist but not as frequent as it used to be. It takes up to 20 seconds to load one big area but thats it. That means you dont have small areas like in kh 2 but one big area plus they are still working in the game so the loading times might be shorter in the final game
Well the loading screens might be gone, and thus each world feels more "open", instead of smaller segments, but one thing thats definitely still the same is that you travel between eachworld with gummi-ship...something that most people either like or absolutely hate....from what Ive read, many people wished that they had already dropped gummi ship missions alltogether.
Well in that sense....but if its anything like the previous games, then each world consists of smaller areas and it definitely wont feel/be anything like open world aka Fallout, Elder Scrolls, GTA and such.
-Spadecat18-π Yeah. They’re called Keyblades, weapons infused with light that can unlock and lock anything in the universe, as well as the only defense against Heartless, those things with the yellow eyes in the game. :)
