There was a festival in my neighborhood two weeks ago and there was an incredibles inflatable slide that was almost as old as me. It had a big inflated Mr. Incredible in the middle of of the two slides and since it was so old the whole ride was dirty and wrinkled and it made Mr. Incredible look like grandpa incredible. It made me relive how long we’ve been waiting for this sequel

When I was a kid 40 years ago, these would have been called "schoolboy jokes." Why are they called "dad jokes" now? Probably because we've lived through several decades in which vulgarity, shock value and political preaching have increasingly been considered to be the acme of "sophisticated" humour, while the light, innocent humour of silly puns was almost forgotten, so that the only ones who remember that kind of humour nowadays are older guys who were schoolboys 30-40 years ago.
