Same lol, you only played the third game ? Or the others too ?

No problem, and I wouldn't call myself hardcore, I just played on console so had lots of time to read the loading screens.

Damn, I was just joking but it seems that i’ve found a hardcore fan ! I knew almost everything you had said but yes Geralt is a particular witcher. And if you install a mod to move freely during the cinematics you can see that In fact Geralt has no penis. So he is a male, but he can’t have children at all... thank you for answering seriously! (Tell me if my english is wrong, I’m french)

Pretty sure he's a bloke. Witcher's are regular boys, human or elves, taken very young and trained. Sort of like Jedi or Spartans, if you're familiar with Star Wars or Halo respectively. When the boy is completing his training, they are mutated with the Decoctions of the Grasses, undergoing the Trials of the Grasses, which kill 7 boys in 10. This makes Witcher's superhuman in speed, strength, reflexes and every sense, but also unable to have children. They also gave Geralt extra mutagens due to his reactions to the earlier ones, giving him white hair and pale skin. So, physically he's a dude, but (I assume) he doesn't produce semen, or maybe he fires blanks? I dunno. I was just memeing, you do you.

Bruh, is Geralt a man? I thought he was a badass god or something

I felt zero remorse freeing the spirit under the tree. It saved the orphans from something horrible and it slaughtered nothing short of cultists who made body part and children offerings to some of the worst evil things dwelling in the Witcher universe. Even Eredin had better motives for his actions. Too bad for the Baron and his wife.

That's why I absolutely adore the Baron as a character. He's an ex-soldier, who did some bad things in war, but has made a better life for himself. He has a short temper and a dysfunctional relationship with Anna, and yeah it's disgusting that he beats her and abuses her, but like you say she partly caused it. He's so complex and well done, I wish we'd seen a little more of him.

Scorpio Witch It's deeper than that. His abuse towards Anna was partially caused by Anna herself. Imagine trying to live with someone who actively tries to murder you and goads you to kill her. Pile on some PTSD and alcohol, and you can understand that the situation wasn't entirely the Barons fault. Of course, the Baron is the one who was trying to hold onto his marriage. You could argue that the Baron should've let Anna go. I agree that he should've, but that's a character flaw. He loved her, but she didn't love him. That's the root of the problem.

I freed the spirit under the tree as well, and felt no remorse in doing so. I hated the Baron when i hear that he caused the death of his unborn child, but as i kept playing i soon realized that, that was not entirely his fault. His wife made a pact with the Ladies of the woods to make sure that the child wouldnt be brought into this world. So when i was given the option to free her and pick the doll with the pink flower... I chose the latter, and picked the doll with the red bead, and heard her scream when she burst into flames and died. No regrets on that. I later did feel sad and sorry for the Baron when he had to bury his Botchling daughter.

The tree spirit is just as bad, if not worse, than the crones. It's much better to kill the spirit because once the story's over, both the tree and the crones are dead. Children dying sucks, but their lives for the rest of velen seems like a good trade.
