Kinda. It can make repairs/put out fires but it is also good for freezing enemies and making ledges along walls to traverse areas you might not have originally been able to reach. So a three-in-one gun.
it's concerning how many game journalists don't seem to know much about System Shock 2. I mean, I haven't played all that much of System Shock 2, but Prey looks far more System Shock 2 than Bioshock, which seems to be the game everyone's comparing this to.
