That was nier replicant the Japanese version and bayonetta was what put platinum on the map not vanquish puppeteer was epic kingdoms of amular reckoning could give skyrim competition I love skyrim but that's how I see it and toy story 3 great licensed game I feel that lego the hobbit is underrated I played the game for many awesome hours and I know it wasn't commercially successful and katamari forever is a definite underrated hidden gem
You missed Two worlds. Great game that nobody liked because they all compared it to Oblivion and Skyrim. The map in Two worlds was larger, and it had more varied places and monsters. Also, people didn't like the voiceovers, so they didn't really give it a chance. I actually had more fun playing it then Oblivion or Skyrim, although it doesn't have as good of graphics. It seems like it's going to be a really bad game when you first start out, but if you give it at least 15 hours, you see how complex of a game it is.
These are my top 10 underrated PS3 games: PUPPETEER, Remember Me, Alice: Madness Returns, The Saboteur, Overlord: Raising Hell, 3D Dot Game Heroes, Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom, Eternal Sonata, Spec OPs: The Line and Dragon's Crown. I'm glad that Dragon's Crown is coming in 2018 to the PS4 because people that haven't played it may get a chance to enjoy the game as much as I have.
10- its not that good
9- didnt played- but its looks generic
8- thats good but a little overrated
7- nier- didnt played
6- i want to play that someday. 2 was great
5- great game, a classic
4- very charismatic but the gameplay gets boring fast
3- never wanted to play, dont know why.
2- i want to play this for years
1- i played this for free for some hours, i ddint liked it. i need to give a second chance
I actually own #5 on the list ("Vanquish"); I got the game at a Family Video, and I didn't have to rent it! And I have to tell ya: it was one of THE MOST GRAPHICALLY AESTHETIC shooters I've ever played! It may've been difficult concerning killing enemies and fighting bosses, but it was still enjoyable! And while it had the POOREST ending ever (since Zaitsev, the main antagonist, didn't get destroyed compared to other final bosses I've fought (such as Kaiser Greedy in "Ristar" and Robotnik in "Sonic the Hedgehog")), it had the greatest action, speed-usage, and gunfire techniques ever put in a video game! And for me, all of that is a plus!
I'm glad enslaved made the list. think a copy is under 5 bucks now. and it was one of the first 3d games I got to experience. I wish you would have added that to the video. the 3d is what makes the game so underrated. imo
Picking games that aren't even ps3 exclusive really makes the list a snore, apart from being largely the same as any other list I just checked.
Technically correct title doesn't mean it doesn't devalue the actual video.
Totally agree. At least on ps3 is broken. Many frame rate issues, sometimes dropping into single digits. Long loading times, and absolute absence of thrills in the platforming elements. The story is really good and the animation award worthy, but underrated is not. 6/10
My personal underrated games:
1. Alice Madness Returns
2. The Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
4. Warhammer: Space Marine
5. Binary Domain
6. Bloodstone: 007
8. Remember me
9. Spec Ops The Line
You should really try nier, if you still have you ps3, there is a sequel coming out soon and the game has an amazing story although it needs multiple play throughs to fully understand and see its brilliance.
+Quinn Reiswig I love the movie and the game. I know the game is lacking in so many areas but I love it anyway. It's my favorite PoP game so far. Have you tried the Wii version of it? It's more similar to the classic PoP games. You should give it a shoot....
Pedro Granja I agree that many of the games on your list are great but POP The Forgotten Sands is total garabe a horrible game , that series so fairly drawn out from the originals and Forgotten Sands is not even on the same caliber as Warrior Within or Sands of Time , and really those were pretty shitty too, don't get me started on the movie!

It is my opinion many PS3 games are better than anything we have for PS4.
More an more games are marketed for their cinematic scenes and story than game play. They are pretty but not very fun. I bought a handful of popular titles for PS4 and everyone of them was a great disappointment.
+Stuck in the 90s Look at the first 4 years the PS3 was out. There was "probably" just as many good games on it than the PS4 has right now. PS4 games that I've enjoyed as much as anything on the PS3: Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted 4, Bloodborne, Dragon Age: Inquisition, The Witcher 3, Persona 5, Horizon Zero Dawn, Infamous Second Son, Resident Evil 7: biohazard, Titanfall 2, Battlefield 1, Until Dawn, Final Fantasy XV, Dishonored 2 and so many more to come in 2018.
Yes, also as the ps2 console was nearing its end regarding releases, programmers were realising its full potential. I agree completely with Star Wars Battlefront II being much better than any Star Wars games for the ps3 or ps4. Quality ps2 games were still being released long after the ps3 was launched.
I could go on and on, but I'll give one more example: best soccer game in 2011 — FIFA 09, 10 or 11 for the ps3? PES 2009, 2010 or 2011 for the ps3? No! By far the best was PES 2011 for the ps2.
1400IntruderVS Well, it's 2017 now, and it seems that game companies are running out of ideas, even though PS4 has the best engine we have seen to this day. It's the same thing as movies and other forms of entertainment. It's getting visually better and better, but all the good ideas were sucked out of video game industry by some epic titles for PS2 and PS3. Explains why are there so many remasters of older games on the PS4 now. My prediction is that maybe 3 or 4 good games will come out for PS4 exclusively, and all other are going to be shit or remakes and remasters of older games.
it's mad to think that most of these were my favourite games last generation...I'd love a resistance remaster bundle..maybe with an announcement of R4! haha ...amd also Nier could do with a remaster aswell
