Street Fighter x Tekken is combination of both franchises? It feels familiar to fans of both?
I'm long time Tekken fan and rarely ever played Street Fighter and I have to say, this game has absolutely nothing to do with Tekken. Even characters personalities are totally different, one thing that was super easy to do.
If you are Tekken fan, stay as far as you can from this crap. Worst spent money on game in my life, and I've bought Dragon Age Inquisition
Might as well have been called Top 20 PS VITA Fighting Games (for casual fighting game players). BlazBlue, Mortal Kombat, and Dead or Alive out ranking UMvC3 is an absolute joke.
And skipping Skullgirls and Under Night In Birth all together is nearly unforgivable considering some of the titles on this list.
Frankly, I'd even say ports of games like Garou Mark of the Wolves would outrank a lot of the games on your list.
how is skull girls not on this list at all? Even as a mention? It's better than most of the things on this list and deserves the attention. Though with what is up here, I won't argue with BlazBlue being number one out of those ten.
The PSP version of Tekken 6 can also be played on the PS Vita because the PSP version of Tekken 6 has online functionality. And speaking of the "Ninth installment" of Mortal Kombat, that version of Mortal Kombat is NOT a sequel. It is a reboot of the very first Mortal Kombat game.
It's a sequel in that it canonically follows from the events of Mortal Kombat Armageddon to go back in time to reboot the series, rather than just rebooting the series out of nowhere. It's also followed by Mortal Kombat 10 rather than Mortal Kombat 2-Reboot.
Granted, stuff like Mileena's origin and the fashion sense of the female characters seems to have been completely altered in ways that involve events that should predate the era Raiden's mind jumped to, but maybe Quan Chi's mind jumped back further or something?
And it looks surprisingly good on the Vita too because PSP's display resolution is exactly 4x smaller than the PS Vita display resolution. So all they did is make each pixel render as 4 pixels which is far better than super lossy bilinear filtered scaling methods.
As much as I hate the cel shaded direction they went in for MvC3, gameplay wise I think you gotta have this at number one, or at least above the games that you ranked above it. DOA does look pretty on the Vita and characters look less like they’re made out of shiny plastic than they do in the 2.5D Mortal Kombat, but who still plays DOA?
Other than the top spots it’s a decent list and someone needs to throw out Garou Mark of the Wolves which is a cross platform release for PS4 and Vita so you’ll own it on both if you get it on PSN. It’s probably the best port out there right now (no experience with the net code so sorry if that isn’t as good) and whatever you do avoid the Steam port or Garou like the plague.
Eh, everyone in MK9 looked like a refrigerator, a stripper, or a refrigerator who is also a stripper (Hi, Shao Khan!), and the Vita version's graphics were downgraded as well to keep up the performance, which was a good decision since the game is still a blast to play.
These are some really good games. Sony should really market their games. I think its even better than 3ds library. The 3ds games are all just remakes wigh slight improvement, im getting sick of mario, pokemon, zelda
My favs, Blazblue, Mortal Kombat and Ultimate marvel vs Capcom 3. I really like J stars too but it's such a shame that most players are spammers + shouldn't be in this list. If you J stars is in this list than dragon Ball should be too.
Windjammer Enomoto You mean positive instead of negative? I'm just being honest bro. There are many videos on YouTube of ppl hyping for a new Sony handheld but a wise man once said: you shouldn't believe it just because you want it to be true. Or something like that XD
Windjammer Enomoto Just rumors bro. Sony ain't going to do a new handheld because PS4 is rocking right now so they wont risk to messed this up. I really like the vita, I got a collection of around 60 vita games but the truth is that Sony is really done supporting vita or other handheld. Sad I know. We still getting some great games so fuck Sony
It's more that a lot of reviewers seen to automatically dock points for games being in the Vita. IGN, for example, dropped Street Fighter X Tekken three points on the Vita compared to the PS3; admittedly, the Vita version was reviewed by someone who just didn't like SFXTekken in general, but one of the points they cited for the low score was that, despite playing functionally identically to the PS3 version, there were some graphical downgrades... on a console that is roughly the same size as a PS3's hard drive.
A shish Tigga: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2, Pokemon Star, Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, Doom, Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset, Shadow of the Collosus, and so much more. So YES! THE VITA IS DEAD! DEFINITELY!
I'm glad Vita is still loves on but those devs are lazy for making their AAA titles playable on the Vita, instead of making them for the Switch.
And that guy is a ditch who thinks Vita is long dead just because they had no Nintendo exclusive games for the Vita, and that sounds idiotic.
