AMD helps Hades Canyon be the fastest Intel NUC ever… here’s why that doesn’t matter | Hardware

16 ratings | 877 views
The Hades Canyon Intel NUC combines AMD’s Vega graphics tech (well, most of it...) with Intel’s Kaby Lake Core architecture. And that combined venture has produced the fastest little NUC ever, but when it costs the same as a super high-end desktop PC or laptop, does that really matter? ► Subscribe here: https://www.youtube.com/user/PCGamesN ◄ Visit us at: https://www.pcgamesn.com/ Twitch: https://twitch.tv/pcgamesn Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/PCGamesNetwork Twitter: https://twitter.com/PCGamesN

What would you spend that $1,700 Hades Canyon money on instead?
I will spend in some upgrades for my system (4690K at 4.5/16GB/GTX1080). I´m stil not a fan of these lil formats. I like an big old boxy case.

I just want it so I can emulate gaming consoles. It's become a major hobby of mine, I've found the wall with my "suped-up" HP 15 with an SSD and maxed RAM upgrade. I don't make much money so I have to work with what I have, but this NUC seems worth saving up for if I can get it running the most modern emulators available. Plus every time I see the shell off Hades Canyon I feel very much like when I see my girlfriend naked.

What is he saying at 3:31 "The mighty arrow 50 w"? I am trying to figure out what he is comparing it to... and it sounds mumbled and nothing is shown on the screen. it supposedly has a 1060 mobile and screen and keyboard, i know its a laptop.... but its hard to make out model numbers with his accent.

I've had mine for a week now and absolutely love it. I think you guys are missing the point of this product but that's understandable because most people would rather buy a laptop with the money. I can say that you don't need to spend 1700 bones. I put 8gb of ram and i got a deal on a 512gb m.2. all of this cost me about $1150. I run a 5TB hdd through the thunderbolt port. I play games on it and also run solidworks and other productivity software. I love all the ports and when i want to plug in something the unit is right there. no reaching under the desk. I'm sure i'm a weirdo but this is an awesome product and exactly what i have been waiting for.

I'm the say way, I've always loved having a little ITX build on top of my desk as opposed to a giant tower under my desk. I'm also going to be using mine when I fly across the country for LAN parties. Even a traditional ITX build is too big to throw in a backpack, at least a backpack that will fit under an airplane seat, unlike this NUC.
