I hope I see legends of Kesmai on here. There are still servers running. However, they are obviously not official because EA bought it to shut it down.
Also, I wish darkness falls was still running. I know the sequel is being independently remade. I don’t know the current profess though. That is if it’s not dead altogether.
$5 an hour omg, I remember AOL Premium Games as a kid for $0.99 an hour with those good ol 28/56k dial up modems wow....my parents hated me when they got the monthly bill XD I want a remake of Splatterball and the Starship Troopers Strategy Game...more so for the Starship Troopers game, that was ACTUALLY fun and truly miss it.
Worms Armageddon launched in 1999, and online play is still functional today, still running on the official server, with a couple dozen to around 60 players in the main lobby at any one time. The most recent update was in 2013, when it got a Steam release, with another major update currently in the works. The original CD-ROM is fully cross-compatible with the Steam release, and as such WA can be run on both old and modern systems.
No Tibia and Ragnarok? i'm sad ok... it might be said that ragnarok is not that old being released in 2002, but it is an awesome game. Tibia on the other hand was released in 97, and along with Ultima Online was one of my first mmorpg
"its safe to say that Blizzard looked long and hard at this game in the development of World of Warcraft". Oh they did. four months after the release of Everquest 2 WoW was released with alot of similarities from EQ 1 and EQ2 but with its own cartoonish graphics. I love WoW and still play it to this day but it was a complete copy of the eq series play style wise and alot of the ways the classes worked.
Lord British will never return to UO because EA bought Origin, the company that he created the game through, and they fired him from the company. EA has a very bad history of handling commodities. Lord British used to appear regularly and interact with us but then he was ousted by those money hungry losers.
I still play StarCraft 1 (Remastered now) and sometimes the MUD-game Deeper Trouble. Diablo 2.
I really think that you should have mentioned the MUDs and Age of Empires 2. Large tournaments are also still played today.
All the earlier Command and Conquer games. Though, much like a couple titles mentioned here “It’s no surprise” (at least to me) that the Command and Conquer games are still going strong. All the

Good video. Gave ya a like and subscribe. I only heard of and played starcraft. But I will unsubscribe if I keep seeing ads. I hate ads. And final note. Please say what you played or still playing. Gives a sort of common comfort. Thanks.
You must not know much about rogue likes if you put so many of them on here and were amazed they're still around. Roguelikes have not once had a slump in it's demand or player count, unlike other game genres so none of them should be a surprise at all. Also Runescape...you CAN'T see your OG character if you stopped playing because of that thing we call "The Great Purge" which happened in Runescape first, and WoW has had several. :/
Dark Age of Camelot is the best MMORPG I have ever played. The idea that I can hit max level in a day is insane.... I think it took me 7 or 8 months to hit the max. The game was hard, and you ended up having to kill green mobs (things 2 or so levels below you) to survive, but getting a decent XP discount.
