It's marvellous how ps vita games appears to be good watching on videos but when I'll play it on the real thing it's not a good experience...
I'll wait til a decent vita emulator shows up to play it, psp its 999% better with better render, imagine vita
The Japanese games on this list are nothing like one another at all in terms of themes, settings, franchises, gameplay, and aesthetics, so it's pretty gosh-darned varied, I'd say.
The closest might be Tokyo Xanadu and Ys 8, because they're both Action RPGs from the same company, but one takes place in modern Japan and the other takes place on a deserted island filled with dinosaurs.
Edit:. It's like saying that there's no variety between For Honor, Darkest Dungeon, Divinity: Original Sin, DmC: Devil May Cry, Dream Daddy, and Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice just because they are all Western games.
I still believe a handheld would be great in Sony’s part. While the vita had many issues it was great so just imagine Sony building upon that. Fixing mistakes from the vita & listening to the consumers to make a handheld possibly better than the psp that could compete with the switch
+KingMaru In case of the psp 2005 was a much different time, a handheld that could play console quality 3D games was unheard of let alone be made, nintendo was still on it's 2D gameboy family. what helped is strong first party and third support from both western and japanese devs which the vita unfortunatly suffers from. Plus you didn't have to buy expensive proprietary memory cards and there were no smartphones to compete with. As for the wii u it failed due to multiple reasons mainly : bad name which made the consumers think it's a wii add-on, weak hardware it was weaker than Ps3 and 360, bad marketing it was aimed at children instead of teens and young adults, abysmal 3rd party support (name one rockstar game on wii u) yeah that's about it !
Unfortunately, Undertale, 2064: Read Only Memories, and VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action do not have enough reviews to receive an official PlayScore yet. Hopefully, they will get their ratings soon.
undertale is well overdue, I'm sure anyone who's wanted to played it has already and it's replay value is very low. However I can understand why you're disappointed that R.O.M. and Vallhalla wasn't on the list
Windjammer Enomoto I don't think that's true, no need to be rude. Sometimes the PS4 versions are better. I don't think that's true however and I think many agree with me. It's nicer to just play games on the handheld, and on the go. Plus I'd rather cuddle up in bed with a game then sit in front of my TV
Also, for the people saying "better than the Switch" c'mon guys, it's the first year. What the PS4 had on launch? Knack? Some assassins creed released for the PS3? And it's a damn fine console to have now! You really can't compare the Switch with a handheld that's on the market for 5+ years. It's really sad what Sony did to the Vita, it had so much potential.
Rai Jin I really doubt that. There are a lot of good games on the Vita but none of them are new. Almost no exclusives, no variety of games. Western support for the handheld is nonexistent. Only Japan still sells it quite well because they really love their handhelds lol
