The story in Rise was soooo much better. Not only were the characters far more complexly developed, but the writers weren't constantly beating the player over the head with the theme of delusional faith in supernatural phenomena being a good thing like in the 2013 game. The gameplay itself in that game was pretty good, but I'm sick of hearing the story in the first game being referred to as "good".
Before buy you had be ready for hard tomb raider game because it's really hard and you need think good because some of puzzles is little need to solve and the game is so s9 nice graphix realistic and fun to play.
Tomb Raider this Tomb Raider that
i want to see a life bar on this game and on more red screens
you know what happened to mighty number 9
Tomb Raider is on the same road
i my self want people vote for the life bar to bring this back
so pleas on all Tomb Raider web pages vote for the life bar
I am feeling ambivelent about the Croft Edition. I'm leaning towards Digital Deluxe at this point...or if I can be disciplined enough to wait perhaps get a Complete or GOTY edition a year or so after the game's release. Decisions decisions. All in all, it looks like it'll be a good game.
In rise of the tomb raider there were therapy sessions recorded you could pick up and in one of them Lara says Sam doesn't talk to her anymore or hasn't forgiven her or something because of what happened on yamati
Tomb raider legend will forever be my baby, I struggled trough tomb raider anniversary. I have to say, tomb raider underworld was absolutely beautiful, visually and the storyline. The trailer gave me chills. I love the new tomb raider games also, but we need Lara’s gymnastics back and her dual pistols. Also, I’m still a bit creeped out by the new storyline of the way her parents died. In the old games, her father died on an archeological adventure and her mother was sent to Avalon (we know how that ended). I’ve always loved the soundtracks though. Absolutely stunning work.
I don't know about most other people, but I typically never buy games during release at full price, unless it has it has cool pre-order bonus like a steel case & it's actually a good game. But I believe game developers should be more competitive in terms of packaging & pricing - have the FULL game with all the dlc already included for $60, and mayble like a limited run collectors edition for about $200 with like a statue, artbook, or other things of that nature.
you should know that characters look like pastic in a cartoon world. And animations suck, that jaguar running is a total disgrace 8:52, it's more like a playmobil toy than a real animal, dogmeat in FO4 has a much more natural movement
Not trying to be a jerk, but it's hard to take a "things you should know video" seriously when you yourself dont even know who developed the game... Crystal is a support studio on this one and main development was handled by Eidos Montreal. In other words Crystal didnt add shit.... you can thank Eidos Montreal for changes.
"The story in both of the Tomb Raider games thus far have been very good" HAHAHA did you even play Rise of the Tomb Raider? It was probably the absolute worst story I have ever experienced in a video game, it just made me cringe all the way. They should really take a page from Tomb Raider 2013s book on how to make games cuz Rise was just awful if you don't count the graphics.
the depressed puppy That because they’re using an awful skin texture. Other characters shown in this game’s demo have far better skin shading than Lara.
Rise of the Tomb Raider had the same problem in regards to Lara’s look. Her character model looked absolutely stunning in that game(basically a 10/10 woman in real life), but it was all ruined by a bad skin texture that made her look like plastic. Unfortunately, Lara’s skin shading in Shadow looks even worse.
I seriously hope they fix the skin shading issue on Lara, and a lot of the other graphical shortcomings I’ve noticed in the demos for Shadow.
I'll point this out to everyone since alot of you seem uninformed and want to spew hate and shit like I'm not getting this blah blah. those 7 dlc they said about , most are only outfits and weapon packs don't believe me?? Then look up this game on Sony psn store and read the bonuses in the description on each edition. So those dlc arnt all story related at all. So instead of hating do your fucking research
The 48 hour release before it's released on the 14 is the croft edition which gets released on the 12th it includes the season pass with everything that's been cut out it's $90 and if in the UK it's £80 as with tomb raider 2013 for consoles sold after 2013 they released the definitive edition with all DLCs that rise wanted you to pay for but this time they've released the croft edition and the standard edition at the same time so you won't need to pay for the season pass separately unless you've pre ordered the standard version then you'd need to buy them separately
Maki Sky - I'm sorry. :-/ That's why I game on several platforms. That way I don't miss out. I've been gaming on computers since 1978. I've built and use TONS of computers since then. But, I also played games on the Atari back then. So, I've always wanted to have the options. Yeah, I'm an OG gamer from way back when. ;-) On a side note, I've seen people build capable gaming rigs for $300 or so out of old Dell business machines with a semi-decent graphics card added + some memory.
And you are reporting on games wow games are not getting that expensive you idiots its just what they want you to believe a game cost much less then a movie to make and makes a lot more then a movie to make one game what 50-150 max thise are the most expensive games to make that 90% of the time make more then a billion dollars and you tell me they dont make money no they just want all the money stop feeding ppl companies lies but i get it moat of you 99% of you media, youtubers and so on are getting paid by those same companies and since i have two friends making games one of them works in ubisoft i know that what those comapnies are saying is complete bullsh*t
I’ll be buying this game once they release their “complete” edition and once it goes on a sale. Im not going to be spending more money than I have to simply because Square Enix has become this money grubbing company that cares little about the gamer.
Stark Bastard don't all game companies do that ??
It costs a lot to develop a game so they just can't sell full game at standard $60
You need better games with better graphics? Pay better price. It is as simple as that.
SoUtH MeMpHiS out of the Disney Star Wars movies loved the force awakens I enjoyed rogue one really enjoyed solo and I am split on the last Jedi there are some things that Ryan Johnson did that I like and something I don’t like about it. I felt like the whole casino scene was unnecessary.
+TMGs wolfpack depends on the difficulty settings you have the game on as the highlighting etc gets removed completely so you have to look for where you need to go next yourself and if you're just a occasional casual gamer who doesnt play these games on the hardest difficulty and decides to you aren't going to get any hints like the white highlighted ledges that you would get if you played it on the easiest setting
Black Friday or Boxing day buy (Croft edition).
Love the franchise and looking forward to the game but hate the, "games been more expensive to make" bs and all the editions filled with cut content that they've done.
Commander Shepard hang on let me check, no..... definitely the present. Buddy go find a release somewhere. Clearly you have some stress/tension you need to relieve. I can't be bothered with this now. All this over 1 comment. I should've known better than to get involved in the YouTube comments. Jesus.
Gary Lewis so you can see that nobody cares. Only nostalgia blinded people will agree. You people have been complaining since 2013, 5 years later and Square Enix or better said Crystal and Edios couldn't give a shit.
You clearly live in the past.
This will be my birthday gift
Btw 6:49 do not perpetuate this lie about games getting more expensive to make. It's just greedy publishers, not rising development costs
It's the sort of lie publishers like EA say
That small game still cost them $10 million to make and 3 years of their time, the team at Ninja Theory had to do a load side projects to fund the game and they almost bankrupted themselves. This game is probably 4x the size, but only costs twice the amount to buy brand new. You can't compare Ninja Theory's brilliant little game to Tomb Raider, they are so different.
FoxyLollyy - Oh, there are some who are close: Activision, Blizzard, and Bethesda are close. The greed. The bad customer service. The half-assed fixes to broken game mechanics and bugs. The anti-consumer practices. It's all there with them.
Linear, Open-World - it doesn't matter. The engines are already established. The development costs pale in comparison to the advertising/marketing and the publisher take. So, that's been debunked for a while know.
