I'm very disappointed they won't expand the world of Warhammer Total War I so you are still able to play the factions of the old world. I wanted to see the warhammer map expand and new factions appear. Also the factions south of the orc desert like Khemri for example. New content through addons would have been a much better solution for the players. But since the publisher will make a lot more money this way it looks like they'll just make an awkward cash cow out of the warhammer games. And it's most likely they won't allow mods that try to stick the maps of WH:TW I and II together since people would only need one of the two games and could spare money. Don't know why people are upvoting this nonsense.

Thank you for this information! I didn't know! In this case it's totally fine for me :)

you are wrong. If you buy the 2nd game, there will be a campaign with the new races only, and a different campaign, with the races from the new game, and all the races of the first game if you own it.

I'm kind of bummed that the skaven are apparently going in this big full-price installment, rather than as DLC. I think the skaven are really neat, but I'm honestly not that crazy for high elves and dark elves. I'd kind of prefer it if I could just get the skaven for a fair price and just go and play them, without having to cash out 60$ or whatever this new game/giant expansion is going to be. And they better not pull some pre-order only thing with the skaven, I'm not going to pay full price AND go against my anti pre-order principles just to play skaven in a game I think is moderatly fun. Maybe if I get better at the game I'll enjoy it more, then I could maybe justify buying this (post launch) and do whatever additional micro-transaction is required to get the skaven without pre-ordering. Or if I can just get them separatly, then I'll just do that.

Since it's most likely they won't include the old world (empire, bretonnia and so on) since it's in the first game, the Skaven probably won't appear at all. At least it would have made much more sense to include them as a faction in the old world. edit: okay, should have watched the last seconds of the video before commenting. I'm a bit pissed about the decision to include them in WH:TW II instead of the first part.

Looks great I really enjoyed the first one and I'm a fan of all the Total War games looking forward to playing this one :) Not even a bit warhammer fan but that's just how enjoyable this was.

All my life I've wanted to play as Skaven. This should be a fun experience :)

The ONLY thing that comes close to enjoying this trailer, is enjoying the tears of the bitching and moaning historical fans haha! What makes it funny, is that CA has separate teams, one for Warhammer, and one for historical, and they are STILL throwing a bitch fit over this announcement...HAHAHAHAHAHA! Rock ON CA! No one else could have EVER pulled off such a complete Warhammer adaptation!

Only TW game i didnt buy at launch was Warhammer. Got it in a Humble Bundle a month ago. Very good. Fantasy setting lends itself to the genre very well of course and there is a very large Warcraft shaped hole still to be filled. BUT. the DLC prices are RIDICULOUS.

You get good stuff for the dlc, I must say (except beastmen....THAT ones WAY overpriced for the content) but on the upside, you get to fight against anything you don't buy, so the game still expands no matter which dlc you pick up....I didn't get ANY dlc for my preferred faction (chaos) which kind of sucks. Hopefully soon we will.
