FYI the dock covers are actually super easy to make :) I found some scrap (soft) fabric I had tucked away, did some pretty rough measurement (make sure your fabric has some give in it - more room for error and it gives a snug fit), tucked the bottom edge under and ran a hair straightener over it to keep the fold and did not sew along it (cleaner look, reduced bulk and frankly laziness) then just hand sewed down either side, turned the right way out and ran the straightener over it again. Literally only took around 5 minutes all up.
WHY WOULD YOU NEED TO CHARGE YOUR JOY CONS WITH THAT BULKY THING?!
Seriously... The Joy Con never died on me... they last for so long and when youre done playing then put your joy cons into the switch so it charges again
Maybe if you are broke from buying the switch or just want to save money maybe try to add dots or lines of hot glue on the back of the normal joy-con grip for more comfort and to make sure it does not slide out of kid's hands...I have not tired this do this AT YOUR OWN RISK... If you try this let me know how this went.
I might be really stupid, but my MicroSD card won’t work with my switch. When I put it in, it tells me that the MicroSD card needs to be formatted. So I do that, after that happens, my switch restarts. The next time I go to the home screen, it tells me I need to do that again.
Don't worry about car chargers, because you can't unplug the cable from them. Instead, buy a USB C Charging cable with either a USB A connector or another USB C if you want to charge it faster. Preferably cables from Anker because I use them a lot with my Pixel 2 and they are really good. I got a 2-pack of braided USB C to USB A cables on Amazon for $8 once on a flash sale they had, but you can get some cables around that price point.
You also probably need a wall charger as well that can handle the amperage, so go get a 2.4 Amp One Port Wall Charger. Brand doesn't really matter, but in my opinion the AmazonBasics version is the best looking. For the car I found a 4.8 A Dual Output Aukey Car Charger that would work as well. Finally, a power bank. The cheapest good one I could find was an Anker PowerCore that has 4.8 A output and two ports, and the battery is 15600mAh, a good size.
Save yourselves the hassle, don't buy the chargers with the cables stuck to them.
I have a 200 GB card and I have to archive my software sometimes. In fairness, I have 28 games and a few of them are massive 25-30gb games (WWE 2K18, NBA 2K18, LA Noire), but even the smaller games add up quickly. I'm eventually gonna buy a 512 GB card when they become available in the USA. (Currently, they are only available in the UK)
