If I had knowing that this video was MMO + RPG I would not have watched it I am looking for MMOs only not MMORPG games where you have to kill 100 of them to level up we are fed up with them games no wonder the MMORPG games are dyeing out
question about all mmorpg games, is there an easier alternative to using your skills? I really don't like taking my hand off of the movement keys to use an ability or skill. it makes me feel like I don't have much control of my character
It's alright not to have your own opinion about a certain subject... But to make entire videos in which you basically just respresent someone elses opinion is truely retarded. I can't believe 375.000 people pressed the subscribe button, might as well just look for the 'playscores' themself
You prefer doing quests walking KM and come back to same spot again to only receive your reward, I see. I never like it WOW freaking slow combat and quests. In GW2 you have action combat and you do the quest in the spot and dont need to talk with no one. Only you do is: the quest appear in the corner of your screen, when the quest its done you receive the rewards, simple like that. You receive rewards for complete the actual map you are, I think no MMO do that. And you can find jump puzzles to complete for more rewards, you gona earn rewards every where in this game.
Nostalgia? New maps come out all the time with quests, cutscenes, nodes to gather, enemies of the opposing faction to fight all around you, world quests for achievements, gear, relics, a queue system which doesn't interfere with endgame, ENDGAME, rated PvP, easter eggs, well optimized world, well paced combat, multiple specs per class to switch from, dedicated player-base you can count on to consistently play without taking 2 year breaks -- looking at you GW2....
What other MMO really competes on all those aspects? All modern MMOs imho are missing something huge.
ESO lacks world PvP and a good combat system. The world is glum and unappealing to a large portion of people who play these games.
BnS lacks optimization and has latency issues and on top of that the leveling experience and game itself as an MMO is a hindrance to the late game PvP itself.
FF14 has just about everything WoW has except just about everyone complains about the asian fluff, lack of world PvP, extremely slow combat which puts people to sleep.
OSRS is well known for being a chill laid back sandbox social MMO that's more about the journey than the end... but it lacks endgame challenge WoW has. The combat is okay considering the nature of when to spec, when to switch gear, etc., but hardly offers many PvP options.
My question to you, knox, is bitch where? Where can I find a better MMO?
so basically you just ripped off usa today and none of this video involved your research or opinion beyond putting the usa today playscore ranking to music, with some stock gameplay footage.
kudos, it's ppl with content like you that drag down youtube and the internet in general wasting ppls time for some views and a quick buck. . this title should read : "usa today's best 15 mmo games"... you fucking hack!! if i was an epic douche like you i would submit this as a copyright strike and cite your own comment below that a game didn't make the list because of it's lower playscore lol, i mean you straight up admitted you used that list haha. go fuck yourself
The list is kinda... sucks... sorry but please it's just my opinion..
Coz i was expecting big ones like Bless, Blade and Soul, And other cooler games...
although you got FFIV, TERA, WILDSTAR AND GUILDWARS correctly on ther spots for the list so it's not that bad.
TDU, War Thunder MMO? Hahahahaha, facepalm! So why there are no Battlefield or COD? Those are just multiplayer games, not massive multiplayer ffs xD And where is Elder Scrols Online and BDO? The most two popular mmo's past two years... You can take this list to the toilet. From whre you're taking those playscores?
GW2 is a good game, BUT it's been ruined by SJW devs and only new looking gear comes in the form of outfits. Absolutely no new looking gear is dropped or obtained through bosses. (besides a set or two). Game is fun but not really a long term kind of game.
It is a more casual MMO with little to no p2w elements (unlike BDO). My gear since GW2 vanilla is still viable. The expansions do not make older gear/builds become obsolete. They just introduce new combinations of stats and new stats in order to encourage different builds. Combat is also much more fast paced than traditional MMOs. There is also a HUGE emphasis on exploration and platforming, not just combat.
It has a long fleshed out story with scripted singleplayer missions and good characters. The start of the story is also different based on your race, the middle based on your selection of 3 factions and the last part is the same for everyone (only for GW2 vanilla, in the expansions everyone gets the same story).
THE ENDGAME. Open world events/bosses. Very well designed and very well scriped with no bugs. Huge fights with tens or maybe over 100 players. Rewards are based on how well you personally did (only for the events, everyone gets the same reward tier for world bosses).
Classic dungeons in the game are very easy, some might say too easy with poor rewards. Very little people still doing them. Fractals (different type of dungeons) are quite popular because better rewards and much higher difficulty which scales up based on different tiers. Raids is where we, the 1% elitists gather for the challenge and some pretty sweet loot.
That is Guild Wars 2 in a nutshell.
"best mmo" is subjective. I honestly prefer BDO over most of what's on the list, but a lot of other people prefer other games as well. No 1 mmo is better by default regardless of which one has a larger player base. It's unthinking people that are the reason for the genre being so unmoving. People actually believe 1 game can be better than the other. The genre will never expand with that mindset.
