I could give a Damn about these dlc's and and extra content... i got the game on the day one release date as most ff fans do and completed that version... anything esle added is now irrelevant.. square needs to get there shit together.. i just played Gow 4 which took about 3 years to develope and this blew ff15 away.. ff15 was a little choppy and all over the place.. I expected allot more after waiting over a dacade and a half for it..
This game is so incomplete, you have story line that does not make sense and forced to buy more fillers. Let's face it, the game mechanics is normal, its literally a ps2 omnimusha era thing; the items in the inventory, you don't use most of it and the reason it was there is because of tradition, like bahamut is just another scene.
This final fantasy is nothing near FF; literally a gameplay skin that has greatly impacted it's sales. SE wants to juice everything out of FF fans, and fans has been betrayed.
so, i don't get anything else from buying the day one aside from the free updates and the bonus that comes with the day one.
"oh what's that little Jimmy? You're frustrated because you basically bought a beta version of final fantasy 15? Well that's just too bad, guess you'll just have to try to sell your copy of day one to an unfortunate soul just to replace it with Frinal Frantasy frifteen Royally Fcked Edition"
I'm still on the fence about the Royal Pack. I have the Day One Edition that came with Masamune. Plus I have the other weapons dlc (the ones that were around $1 each) and the travel kit dlc from PSN. I might wait until the price goes down (if it ever does).
well...the idea of getting a happy sweet couple lover ending got me off..who the heck hero who SAVE the world n finally gets the GIRL? it didnt happen to SUPERMAN or BATMAN or even JESUS...i think SQ is trying to mislead...what is true sacrifice is all about...i know its just a game..but it gave idea..#justsaying...
The ending pissed me off in the game. I don't mind a few tragedies scattered throughout the game to pull on the heart strings but that ending was depressing af. I hate playing a game for hours on end and feeling attached to the characters only to have the rug pulled out from under me and the writers giving me the middle finger. Surely they could of come up with something better than that.
So are they still updating the base game with this content like the updated maps or is this new content royal edition specific? I have the base game and the dlc, do i get anything extra in this edition?
i have no complaints personally. ive loved it since its release and im excited for all the new content. i say so what of its not "complete" to some people. thats just more and more content to keep bringing me back to a game i adore
I love FFXV but what if you have the base game with season pass? Do I have to purchase royal edition to get the new content? And basically the season pass was a waste or can I get the new content separately?
Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition is complete and should've been the Final Fantasy XV from release. Too bad most games released nowadays are incomplete, sometimes buggy, unplayable, and just give us updates, fixes, and pieces of DLC along the way. lol.
I usually don't care enough to comment or down vote. Whomever writes these needs to find a new career. I don't think your feelings resonate with much of the gaming world if this is what you have to say about FFXV in the first minute of your video.
It is really sad that games are starting to look like this...I just played through FF15 and honestly, even after watching Kingsglaive & Brotherhood, I really had a hard time understanding what is going on. I actually had to go and do some online searching to actually understand what is the backstory for Ardyn and also why did Noctis have to do what he did at the end. A lot of the character motivations should've been explained in the game. I really don't understand games nowadays anymore, they slap so much development time into make things look pretty, but then character & story gets a back seat. Character building & story should always be the emphasis of any good game. People don't love games for their graphics only, you need character & story to really make gamers love the game.
If you take a look back at FF7, you have character archs that tell you who is Sephiroth, Cloud & Tifa. FF15? It is just a convoluted mess. Noctis and Lunafreya might have had some character development, but it really isn't enough to make you love them. At least not the way I loved Cloud, Squall & Zidane.
Absolutely pick it up if you haven't yet! It was my first ever JRPG and I am blown away by how good it was! It's not a perfect game by any means but everything is so well crafted, especially, in my opinion, the story.
If you guys think they’re milking 15, just have a look at the plan they have for 7.... 15 isn’t the best by any stretch, and it is turning into a bit of a cash cow, but the released content is solid. DLC seems to be taking a hit in a big way ever since EA had a cashgasm over loot crates, but if you consider special editions, complete editions, collectors editions and the like can and do sell for an upwards of £200, the value for money is actually pretty good. Besides, the patches and updates alone are enough. No one forces you to buy the extras and the patches they released for free covered a lot of the glaring issues. The DLC for purchase is designed purely as an enhancement for those who feel they want more. So instead of bitching. How about trade in 15, and then buy the single disk for 7 that may or may not be released in 2019, that may or may not even be close to the full game, that may or may not actually be 7 beyond the characters, that may or may not die part way through the game.......
First half of the game was excellent, second half was trash. Rushed ending, massive gaps in the story, very incoherent. Overall though gameplay is good and game is fun to play if you essentially just treat the story as an extended tutorial and consider all the DLC/endgame content as the main game instead.
This game.... Should of released in 2018 and not 2017.
The amount of story missing really hindered the overall game.
This was the first rpg i ever played where at the end of the game i was left confused on many stort points.
They had thrown in cgi that had no point but they really just wanted to include so the cgi they made wasnt wasted but in a narrative point you were left saying,"looks cool but wtf does it mean?"
About 3 villians are played up as big deals but you meet them once and boom. Dont see em again till too late in the game and then they expect a surprise or something like omg its that guy but you forgot them and didnt even care they were involved.
It requires you to watch a full cgi film and anime to get the backstory of the game instead of including it in the story itself. I did not like this for a game that i felt should of been a complete story in on its own.
Other issues as well but those are the ones i found strong to bicker on.
this game was a huge disappointment. it could have been a masterpiece... the royal edition should have been the actual game release. also the movie and the anime should have been included into the game too.. it is TOTALLY required viewing..
One boss after another in the last chapter which was kinda great cuz they were fun in my opinion, they were too easy. Also it would be great to fight the rest of the old kings(as optional bosses). Could use those meteor location as the area where you could fight them?
Not really fair to call it incomplete. The originally planned dlc is all done. All new dlc is extra sprinkles on top we dont need to fill narrative holes. This version is what should have launched, the upcoming dlc is still welcome but not needed to complete the package
does anyone know did they improve the leveling system in the game (not sure what else to call it). But it was one of the things I hated most about the game. The level you were at didn't make much sense in combat compared to other gamed.
I would fight a normal enemy at night that was the same level as me and still have to struggle through, then I would fight some of those giraffe looking enemies that were at level 15 when I am level 30 and I would still have to attack them for a few minutes to kill one of them.
That doesn't make sense. A difference of 15 levels should make those enemies incredibly easy to fight, and an enemy at the same level shouldn't be so much trouble.
I haven’t played a video game in years. FF15 is my return to gaming and I love it. I love the open world and the side quests but the side quests do distract from the storyline. Some days I don’t even want to move forward in the game. I’m doing quests that are way below my level now because I leveled up doing the other missions. I get tired playing the game because the battles take so long and the long walking gets tiring. Other than that I love this game. When I’m done with it I won’t be playing another game for a long time. That’s just how I role. I grew out of video games a while ago.
Royal Edition is certainly worth it if you never bought the season pass. Can't really say it's worth it though if you already bought the season pass. I think there should have been a $5 discount for people who already bought the season pass.
The story generic, the gameplay is really fun, the customisation feels like there was suppose to be more to it? The game is broken beyond all reason, game breaking broken.... would I buy it for 50? No... would I but it for 40? No... 20 tops... it feels like a green light.... it is broken....... gtx1080 16gb ram i7 4.0ghz and I put it on my ssd. Everything maxed I get 50fps, everything lowered I get 50fps. A massive memory leak too. It's also to be honest a lie. It's freeroam at the start then becomes extremely linear....pissed me off... it has a game mode plus... the enemies don't scale so basically you one shot everything moving forward...
The season pass of game support in 2017 is over. Royal edition is an expansion pack released in 2018. So no, it's not included in that season.
However, I think there should be a discount for season pass owners because people who didn't get it are getting all the season pass content for free with Royal Edition.
This game fell so far from grace I bought this when it was first released for like 110 or some shit and to understand everything you had to watch a movie and anime? Like get the fuck outta here I paid good money for a good game but I didn't get ut. I got an incomplete story, very limited game ( linear ) and of course still waiting for more expensive dlc to drop....squarenix you fucked up.
$80 for a video game? Wow. I just wouldn't buy it. That's way too much. I think even $60 is a bit too much considering I only play most games for a few hours and lose interest in them. Save for a good RPG game... those usually hold my interest much longer.
Only thing wrong with 15 is the story and how you only feel like you played a full ff game is you play all the repetitive side quest.... If they got rid of 70% of the side quest and put it into the story this game would have been great.
Can't lie my favorite is ff8 it just had everything I wanted and I had 7,9,10,11,12,13,14,and 15 just wasn't as interesting as I thought it would be nice graphics but the story was so meh to me lol maybe I'll give it another try
this new approach of Square Enix of realeasing obviously unfinished game story will probably be the next LOOT BOX in the near future. we will get less content and unfinished story on release day then pay for seasonal STORY DLC.
I’m pissed that this isn’t a true complete version. I’m tired of developers ripping the consumers off. It’s a major dick move. Release full games at launch... and just do upkeep bug fixes. This dlc crap and micro transaction thing in this generation of gaming is so stupid. I’m happy this version has way more to offer than the base. And saves money as opposed to buying the base plus dlc. But we shouldn’t have to buy dlc in the first place.
When I downloaded it you have to laid from ch. 14 right?
Well when I did and went back to Lucia for the Amiger Unleashed it RESET THE WHOLE MAP!
The whole thing is black and it completely reset my Hunter Rank back to 1 and it took away my flying car.
It also reset all the side quest in the little cities.
Hopefully the Royal upgrades come free to anyone who already has a season pass.. if not I will probably wait and purchase the the ultimate final mix edition on the ps5 when it comes out and replay it as if it was a new game.
If they finally fixed everything with the story, driving, and other complaints that hampered the game at release, then I'll finally pick it up, and be happy to pay for more dlc. But if it is still missing key parts of the story, and still needs work put into the game to make it "main content" complete, then I'll be fine with waiting another year or so for the "Royally Grand Spectacular Edition".
I'm actually so glad I made the decision to stay away from Hype Station, pass by Day One Café, and wait until the complete versions of games come out. Even if it takes two or three years after it's initial release, I have found it way more satisfying to wait. Not only do I steer clear of spoiler articles, videos, and even friends that are further than me when games release, but once all the games post release bugs and problems have been fixed, most or all dlc content comes out, and the game is finally at it's full potential, they always release a complete edition at base price.
Not only do I get to play a game in it's entirety from start to finish without having to restart after some big overhaul has been made to the game's story, combat, or overall performance, I also save a lot of money due to buying a complete game for $60 or less, whereas everyone else spent nearly $100-$300 for dlc. Plus once I do finally play certain titles, there will be no videos about the game anywhere, so I can experience the entire game in peace without spoilers in every corner of the interwebs
if you already own the game do not buy the royal edition DLC because it does not come with any other DLC content, I bought it expecting to have the Episodes and Comrades but it does not come included with it.
Guys, just have some self control and don't but any of their games that aren't complete upon release. Make a fricken point out of it, they will learn, they will innovate, like they and everyone else did before. At least before their 10 point plan to milk Final fantasy for every thing it's worth.
